If we are talking about actual villians then I'm going to to with Venom.
If we are gonna get meta then I'm going to go with the Sony answer. Looking at what Marvel has been able to accomplish since they started doing their own movies, one can only wonder at what they'd be able to pull off with Spidey.

And the skeleton with bossoms is friggin hilarious.

Come on, this guy is possibly the most powerful baddy in spiderman history. Stronger than both venom spidey himself combined. When the only way to beating something is to team up with your ultimate nemesis then...well that's a pretty badass villain you have on your hands.

On topic, Himself. All of his massive failures were cause by himself. Gwen Stacy neck snapped because of him. His marriage ended because he could not see a world without Aunt May. He outed himself as a hero putting his family at risk. Uncle Ben died because of his mistakes.

Well in the marvel universe Death is sort of a character and interacts with others on main different times. In fact Thanos is in love with Death, killing half of the universe once to prove his love. So I think Death is fair game.
