Quick game history: splinter cell is a stealth game by Ubisoft with a lot of things you didn?t see when the original Xbox was still kicking, but the game based off the Tom Clancy book made a huge hit with Official Xbox Magazine giving it the highest score ever of a 9.6/10 that?s really neat considering this is the first game when back then we knew more games were coming because of the books.

Game play: as a stealth game this game does it very good, but I can?t shake off the little parts that tick me off. First the games movement is very good and has a little bit of plat forming. Plat forming is OK but is needed to do a few things jumping can get you onto a rope or ledge and to a double jump to reach a ledge that?s out of a normal jumps reach and to do a split jump that?s keeps you in place between two walls jumps also get you on a pipe. The sneaking is well done with crouching to sneak around enemies and to stay hidden. Now the little things that bother me first the enemy?s deign of spotting you is very high and for people how like to run through stages well you will get f*cked if you screw up. The enemy?s never seem to miss or not know where you are you can be on another side of the map when a random NPC comes out of nowhere and starts shooting you. Shooting is just at the point where is bad because of the aiming is bad to begin with the radius of the bullet makes you move closer and closer until you land a shot on what your aiming for. You can waste 4-5 bullets before you hit a light that?s a bit unnecessary don?t you think? But overall the game play is good and if you go back in time to play this you would think it?s excellent.

Graphics: this is a game that doesn?t focuses on graphics and that?s what many people want in a game like this, but a game like this doesn?t need to look good its action and sneaking make up for it. I can say too much about it it?s not all that great up its good for its time and everything else makes up for it. So the graphics are OK but not great, but like I said game play makes up for it.

Story: this is one of those games that make ask the in the hell is going on. That?s what happened to me because the story is very in announced. I still to this very day can?t find out what it?s happening in the story to my best guess is it?s just a bunch of missions with the smallest story?s. I think the new in the cut seen tell you a little bit about something. But if I did know what?s happening in the story I would love to tell you but this is all I know. (SPOILER ALERT) you are Sam Fisher a man that?s introduced into the C.I.A. as a new breed of spies that takes orders from a group of people called third echelon and a man called Lambert. Grim keeps you updated on the events and briefing that you need before and during missions. So far the story is a little interesting, but is OK.

Extras: if you happen to have Xbox Live back then you could down load some extra maps for single player and that?s about it I was expecting a little more than that for extras but what do you want from this game?

Friends point of view: my friends are the guys that like modern shooters and not stealth games so I could only find one that?s really enjoys this game and the other ask the same question is the a lot of shooting. I wish people could enjoy games for its value and for its awesome game play but people today don?t understand what we feel about a certain game.

In conclusion Splinter cell is a well-made game that has a lot of value and could use a little more work on or an updated version with all the bugs fixed so my rating is a 8/10 a great game but still needs some work done on it to shine right now its rusting but if we tell Ubisoft to pull out the polish we can make this game shine.
