Stumbled across this video series, some interesting information regardless of if you choose to believe any ounce of it or not, provided you look at it with an open mind of course. Would like to know what others think about it

Watched the first 6 minutes and already it seems full of fuzzy thinking, poor logic and fallacies.

It's some metaphysical "Age of Aquarius" thing, right?

It's kind of jumping off the assumption that souls exist, isn't it?
Also, I have not had any of the experiences he uses as examples of "your thoughts shaping the world".

I see exactly zero science here. I see a bunch of assumptions and unfounded claims.

Seems to be decently well made though.

Okay, yeah sorry:
"Our spirits and minds are connected because several people share the same opinions".
"You don't sit next to the girl you have a crush on because you think 'I'd like to sit next to her': You do so because of your emotions".
Etc.

So someone watched Extra Credits & thought "what this needs is some new age spirituality combined with vague abstracts, pseudo-science & an age-old obsession with geometric patterns as some proof of a divine watchmaker."

Yeah I thought of EC when I first saw it too, haha.

Yeah most of it can seem pretty far fetched, especially in the later episodes, but I found it to be entertaining to say the least

Ok, I'm 51 seconds in and I had to pause it there. So much is wrong in that opening. Every generation believes that they are going to be the last, or the harbingers of a "brand new age". I thought it interesting that the guy spouted categorically that "time is speeding up" without explaining what exatly he meant by that, or it's implications or anything.

The other points:
The Arab Spring (the proper name for the Middle East revolutions) has totally reasonable and earthly motives behind it, mainly the internet bringing in better communication to Western culture and opening eyes to injustices in their society, also Egypt has actually been reclaimed by corrupt military officials, Syria's government is determined to go nowhere soon, Israel and Jordan's situation is about as likely for a quick resolution as the Half Life series, as and the less said about Iraq and Afganistan the better. The Arab spring could yet turn out to be a wet firework, we can't know what it's future will bring, we can only light the torchpaper and retire.
The American and European protests are again because of totally understandable economic reasons: Sub-prime mortgages, and the boom-and-bust culture. No spiritual enlightenment there.

Devastating earthquakes? they've happened throughout history, we've seen 3 bad ones in a decade. That's nothing out of the ordinary, and there are several bad faultlines that haven't broken yet, like the San Andreas Fault. Surely if a new spiritual age was being heralded by the movement of tectonic plates it would the most obvious one to shake it's soily head and shout "wake up San Fransisco!"

The Global economy: Yes, it is a big problem, but look up the 1920's Weimar Republic, look me in the monitor and tell me we are worse off. You can't. We are in a recession, that was a depression. When you have to carry a wheelbarrow full of coins down to the shops to buy a loaf of bread then we are as bad as the 1930's (yes, that actually happened back then,)

"Global Warming puts our planet into an ice age" Wait, What? That sentence is just categorically wrong. He even has a picture demonstrating how the melting ice-poles are melting! Seriously, did he think that our ice poles melting would be because the worlds temperatures were getting lower? How could you fail so hard?

"We're going to kill ourselves from overpopulation for sure" Birth rates in the first world countries are so low that they aren't sustaining themselves. We have to work out how to provide for an ageing population because too few people are being born in first world countries. Of course in second/third world countries it's another matter, but it is predicted that increasing quality of life will lead to their birth rates falling as well.

Now, I don't know about that statement about "doubling", as I'm not sure what exactly it is refering to, but everything else was meaningless. These are not harbingers of an upcoming spiritual age, they all have prefectly human reasons for happening, and most, if not all, have happened before many times in history. Sheesh.

I could barely stand the guys voice, so I couldn't even get over a minute into the first video.

However, based on that first videos... opening, I can make and assumption. And that is that the creator of this video has made way to many assumptions based entirely on what he's seen in the news. And since his first minute of reasoning is heavily flawed, I see no reason to believe that what comes after is anything more then random and careless thought.

*Sigh*
And here I was, thinking this was going to be worth watching.
False assumptions and absolutely no foundations for his calms made me quit half way through.
