Name: Ohmntebar, The Indomitable

Gender: Female-ish

(True) Appearance: A majestic(and massive) tiger of purest white fur and red stripes. Should fangs and claws be required, they seem to suck the light from the surrounding area, leaving all but the weapons she wields shrouded in darkness. She moves with the standard feline grace, but will always seem somehow....more, even to the most ignorant of mortal eyes.

While obviously most often appearing as one of the most dangerous and feared animals of the world, though rarely seen the same way twice by different individuals, she somehow radiates a...calming influence, rarely seeking to ever harm a human or creature she deems worthy of her gifts.

Personality: Stubborn. Ohmntebar is forever looking for the greatest challenge she or her followers can discover, secretly hoping - and fearing - that THIS task is their final obstacle. And until she finds the challenge that can best them, she will continue to search and overcome everything that spirit and mortal alike can throw at her. However, that's not to say she does not enjoy her own moments of lounging around while contemplating how to best overcome her most recent conundrum.

As well, though her true form, and the one she takes most often, despite the fear it brings, is quite gentle to most humans, seeing most of them as small children that have yet to realize exactly how special they can become should they simply rise to the challenge. As a result, she is not above finding ways to force certain mortals into having to either become stronger through completing the obstacle she set in motion, or falling to it. Should they conquer it, they earn her eternal favor, if not more. And those that fail...are lost to history and her sight.

Domains:
+4(8 eventually) - Challenge - Ohmntebar and her followers seek to overcome as many obstacles in their lives as possible, from something as simple as building their shelter, to raising a nation to war. From the needs of a family to work through a harvest as quickly as possible, to the building of a great monument for generations to view.

+2 - Wanderlust - Ohmntebar is not one to sit around in an area for any amount of time at all. Forever moving from one challenge and location to the next, she infects her followers with the same

+2 - Adversity - Adversity is a fact of the world, no matter what happens, the luckiest mortal or spirit in the universe is going to be shown exactly how heartless it has the ability to be. Ohmntebar, while a spirit of rising to the occasion, is not above showing adversity the door of who she desires to be her protege.

Drawback: Ohmntebar, while a spirit of challenging the world, is not one to sit around, forever moving forward, never looking back, having no regrets, and very often, having little or no memory of past slights against other spirits or mortals.

In Addition, her followers as well are very disorganized, as a result, there is no true single "church", instead hundreds of groups and individuals forever overcoming whatever comes their way, or on their way to the Final Obstacle.

-4 Stability and Negative Memories

I'm fully aware of how...vague may be the best word for it, her main domain is, but I'm unsure of exactly what else to call it is all. I'm always open to suggestions

Sorry for the wait.

Name: Daagma

Gender: Male

(True) Appearance: Is twice the size of an ordinary mortal. The lower half of his body is made up of thirty tendrils and tentacles. The upper half of his body is more humanoid in appearance, besides the fact that his skin appears to be a grotesque cross between fish scales and human flesh. His eyes appear completely black like a shark?s. He has a thick beard that seems to be made of baleen, and his hair is made of the same thing. His arms are lanky with large hands and long, sharp fingers at the ends of them.

Personality: Austere. He is the grim and serious sort who hates the flippant. Usually solemn and bluntly honest with others, he doesn't pepper his words or talk more than necessary. He can be benevolent when others show him proper respect, but can be wrathful when disregarded. He takes oaths and promises more seriously than anything else.

Domains:
Salt Water +6: This domain affects control over bodies of salt water such as seas, oceans or coastal rivers. Daagma can command both the creatures which live within these waters, as well as the waters themselves. With enough power he could shift tides to create floods, whirlpools or similar disasters. This domain does not extend control over fresh water or small bodies of water isolated within land.

Bounty +4: The seas contain a great measure of wealth, both naturally ones like fish or mineral and unnatural ones like lost relics or treasure. Daagma is happy to grant those who chose to ally with them access to these resources, and provide bountiful catches to those who follow him.

Terror +2: When generosity fails to motivate, one call always rely on fear to inspire loyalty. Daagma is a terrifying being in both his eldritch appearance and power. Those who cross him are subjective to the wrath of the seas, as well as those unnamed horrors that lurk in deep water.

Drawback:
Earth -2: Being a spirit of the sea, there is nothing worse to Daagma than being stuck on land. When isolated from salt water, Daagma becomes increasingly uncomfortable and weak. The longer he stays on dry land, the sicklier he will become.

Well, we were hoping for a few more sheets to come up to critique, but it seems like Deu was the last one to stumble in. The final rounds of critiques will be up soon.

Alright, we struggled with this one, but...

We can't allow for two drawbacks on one character. If you're dead set on this, come talk to us and maybe we can see it your way, but it's gonna create a weird imbalance. Furthermore, neither of this drawbacks would count as a domain, not really. Gonna need a full rework here.

We're gonna have to do a quick re-work on some of your domains, too. A +2 in Adversity would make your character more suited to creating adversity, not overcoming it. Is this what you are hoping for, or is it the opposite? The definition leaves me a little unsure. Another problem with this is that Wanderlust might be more fitting as a domain if it's Travel, but maybe we can talk it out. Challenge seems alright, overall, but Arro might disagree, haha.

As for her claws and fangs, so long as we're clear that it's fluff and won't have any effect on the game, I don't mind it.

@Belmarc: I think he's going for this [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/540.381317.15049464] sorta thing with the Adversity domain, btw.

kk, the reason I had two drawbacks was because I kinda saw Challenge as being a bit OP depending on your take on what it does,(ie, attempting to create something with large penalties or a high threshold would be always be covered by the domain because it is an obstacle or a challenge that needs to be met, thereby always giving her a +8 alone.) and I was unsure exactly what you wanted, meaning I didn't know if it was domains or specific vague ideas, a few of the other sheets seemed to have something like this is all. I can change up the drawbacks to cover domains sure.

As far as the Adversity thing, yes, I'm meaning to create Adversity, overcoming it is covered by the Challenge domain, and Travel covers alot more than just wanderlust, I wanted to throw it in to show the constant moving from one place to the next, not be the patron of long-haul merchants.

@Redryhno

I think you misunderstand how domains work. They give you modifiers based on the task you are working on, not how that task relates to the spirit. If your character is CREATING a challenge for someone or something, then it will apply, but not if something is challenging for her. For example, in the case of my spirit... just because he would be working from the shadows wouldn't give him a shadow bonus, what he was working on would have to be shadow related.

Adversity is fine then. As for Travel, perhaps Journey would suit your needs better without being too specific?

And I understand your confusion about the drawbacks. A lot of the god games seem to have character flaw or narrative obstacle drawbacks, but... those can't really be reinforced in a game like this. That's why we're asking for drawbacks that can be translated into domains, and can be counted as modifiers.

Regret to say I'll be pulling out. I've realized that a third RP, mixed with my laziness, is really not a good idea. So consider my sheet null and void. Sorry.

Hello, this still on?
Probably not by this point. Given recent events I think it's safe to say that this game is on hold for the moment. To everyone who submitted a sheet, I thank you, as does Belmarc. Please hang on to them as we'll probably relaunch this game at another time, perhaps when there aren't already another two godgames going simultaneously.

Wait... what about Dawn of Worlds... Oh yeah, I guess that doesn't matter because it runs on a different system? :p

[small]So, that just means you're just waiting for mine to die, right? Gee, thanks. And I though we could be friends. :p[/small]

While I would argue for the launching of the game, things have been pretty busy lately, so yeah. Just don't forget about this, okay?

Sounds good to me. Er, don't take that the wrong way. You do what you gotta do. I'll just hide in the shadows until I can use my character again.

It's still being debated. We'll keep everyone who submitted here informed when/if this gets relaunched.

We've booted this up again on a clean thread. We'll see if we can garner enough interest this time. Please read over the rules again. Feel free to remake or re-use a character, just be sure it still fits.
