We've only been able to play two maps so no doubt there will be more exotic ones. Like Camp Triggerfish as seen on the Wiki:

http://splatoon.wikia.com/wiki/Camp_Triggerfish

Plus for now they want to keep things basic so people can acclimate before getting to the more complex, technical stuff. Walleye and Saltspray are clearly meant to be the basic stages which is why the Testfire started with them.
Heh. We have Camps in this world already, that doesn't count as exotic. :p

Seriously though, I'm more than satisfied with what we got and the promise of what's to come. A demo is just to be a taste of the product to get people hooked, and I want this so badly for myself, I'm going to probably end up purchasing 2 copies for myself and another family member I'll be visiting soon, in addition to a WiiU Splatoon bundle for my friend.

Successful demo is successful.

Great fun, and I'm really liking the territory control aspect of it.

Now, if I'm later allowed to map "up/down" to the camera stick, I'll be golden.
If you hit the controls button (think it was +) you can turn off motion controls which gives it normal shooter controls.

That being said, holy fuck is the sensitivity awful.

I had that cranked all the way down and aiming was a nightmare without the motion controls. Not sure how much of that is how used to K/M I am, but man was it a pain in the butt.

I played through the entirety of the first hour and I had fun with it! There was a way to turn off the motion control but I can't remember quite how I did it (it was during the character/gender/gun selection part of the pre-game, after the tutorial). I had a lot of fun with my hour though; I can't tell you the difference between the two quick-firing guns, I shouldn't be allowed to use the sniper and, the roller is a glass cannon that I had fun using, even if it meant I couldn't use the higher vantage points. I didn't experience any connectivity issues which was my chief concern. I don't plan on buying this on day one but this was by far the best Nintendo demo I've played...except for the fact that I HAVE to play it at a specific time and at the time of writing, the Global Testfire demo is doing nothing but taking up space on my Wii U hard drive...oh well, it was fun while I had my time with it.

I think the key there is that your not supposed to really MOVE the gamepad all that much. Just make very minor tilts.

I managed to play through all three sessions, including the first and horrendously early 4am session (UK time), and have had a ton of fun each time.

The controls took a short while to get used to, learning how to effectively use the Gyroscope, how far the ink splattered, and getting used to activating my squid form, but it was a very quick learning experience and soon became almost second nature. I have a natural affinity for melee weapons, and so came to love the roller weapon. It covers a ton of ground, and if you can sneak up on someone or weave around them as a squid, then you can easily take people out in close combat.

It was a little disappointing to only have the same two stages available in each of the three sessions, but it did give me time to learn various strategies for each of the levels, where the best places to go and cover were, what to do when team-mates were doing such and such, and all that. All in all, it was an amazing experience, and my biggest concern right now is that I won't be able to play a match of Splatoon until it releases on 29th May. I'm having withdrawal symptoms over here, I need to play more Splatoon, stat!

I'm pretty bad with the charger, feels like a mix of a shotgun and a sniper. Probably the best weapon for killing other players - but you need to get good with it.
Didn't play with the roller since I don't feel I would enjoy it as much, but if the paintbrush is a lot faster I will probably play with it. Roller is the best weapon for turf war since it covers the most ground in paint but it's very easy to snipe from distance.

I wasn't able to use the Super weapons since I didn't know what I needed to do.
You could also super jump at any time to a teammate.

Would be interesting how the upgrades you can do to things like speed, damage etc will change the balance of the game. If for example a person with a roller could go a bit faster it would be pretty hard to stop them.

They should do more Testfires before the release, I enjoyed myself but since I haven't played Shooters on consoles - I was pretty poor at the game.
