Well as a 360 owner i'm thinking yay for me but i still think console exclusives are a giant ball ache.
And as i finally got to try a ps3 out the other week iv'e softened my opinion of them i may even at some point buy one. The ps3 controller can die a horrible painful death though.

That reminds me: I got a chance to play Chaos Theory (good) and Double Agent (er, ok, from what I've played, wouldn't play past the fourth level due to crashing) on my 360. I hope that this next one has the feel of Double Agent but preserves the gameplay of Chaos Theory.orannis62 said:
Let's hope they manage to make it half decent. I never really liked Splinter Cell too much. Even back when it was on the PS2.
And why could it not be made on the PS3? Oh that's right, it could be, in every way it is on the 360. The dev is talking out their ass to pimp the 360 over the PS3 when in reality they are really the same in terms of raw power. What a joke.

Mind you that the entire Tom Clancy franchaise was born on the PC.
Ignorant statements like these are the pest to the gaming community quite simply because they are neglecting the origins of the entire franchaise.
All the Tom Clancy games where originally designed to be played on a PC and I do not see how this game would fair any worse on the keyboard + mouse setting.
Why game publishers and developers choose to moronically say things like these is byond any stupidity and reason. It is exactly the same with the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed which developers assured was "ment" to be played on a console - even though the Jedi Knight games where born exclusively on the PC a decade earlier.
Nowdays all Xbox360 games are developed on a PC so to mention that this game fits the Xbox360 platform better than anything else is what I call first-class premium high quality bullsh*t.

What did they mean, meant for the 360? I mean some games are "meant" for the PS3 like MGS4 and Uncharted 2, due to software constraints, but what does it mean, meant for the 360? I mean, I would understand games like Halo 3 being meant for the 360 because Xbox Live is superior to PSN in some ways and the fact that it focuses on multiplayer. But how can i game that focuses on single player be "meant" for the 360? Both consoles are incredibly similar, only that the PS3 has Blu-Ray and more space for games, and 360 has a better online. And also, I don't know any other stealth game better than MGS4 right now except for maybe Deadly Shadows.

I think it means they are gonna show u some new tricks with the hardware ,Sony has more space but John carmack pointed out wAy back that 360 reads faster, making it better . But what do I know , just another overweight gaming troll ,

anyway I kinda see what they were getting at, the development of the in game world to support the 360 hardware rather than work despite it, I mean I have seen my fair share of subpar games chugging away at my 360 like it is an old fashioned train, such as mercs 2, however to use pandemic as an example, their next game, (le Saboteur) runs very smoothly on the 360 with no texture pop and the hardware inside ticking over nicely, the difference? an extra couple of years to get to know the hardware and how to work with it, the way I see it, Ubisoft are turning this to 11 with their latest game, given that they have had lots of hands on time with the 360 console and pretty much know it inside and out as well as M$ and Bungie, which is why they are announcing that they can make the best of it.
