Yeah, how do I do that? I recently downloaded the game w/ the boyfriend, but we can't figure out how to set up a split screen game. Yes, we are aware that SDTVs can't play splitscreen, but he has an HDTV and his 360's cable for the TV is set to HD.

Edit: The problem has been addressed by kTrmnatr. Nothing to see here folks.

I think the split screen is drop in/drop out MP, so you don't need to click an option. Have you tried starting the game then pressing start on the second controller?

With two controllers connected, all you should have to do is load a world, and then press start on Player2's controller. The game should prompt you to press start for a second player if a second controller is connected when the world initially loads.

Load up whatever world you want to play on and then press start on the second controller once it loads up. If that doesn't work then something's fucked up.

Nope. Didn't work. While at the main menu it said that two people were playing, I couldn't play and splitscreen never happened.

I suspect that for some dumbass reason it thinks he's playing on an SDTV. So tomorrow Mr. Boyfriend will probably pick up an HDMI cable.

It might be worth checking your display settings on the console. From the XBox dashboard, go to Settings/System/Console Settings. With Display highlighted, check if you're set to HD. Hope this helps!

Edit: I think it needs to be up to 720p. That's what I have on mine anyways and I've been split-screening it up.

I don't know what's wrong in your situation, but I do want to warn you of a bug in the game. If you press the exit game button and then press save before exiting (I don't remember the exact words of these phrases) it may freeze and lock your Xbox and force you to turn off the console. The map won't be saved, either. So do the "save game" button and then exit without saving- it's more reliable at this point.

I know this because I lost like four hours of work :( it was horrible.
