a)kind of
b)kind of
c)maybe

you can choose between all the weapons that you have found in the game; and all these weapons have 2 or three variations, so they're all kinda different

is it worht getting? i think so, but that's all up to if you want to spend your money.

.... This isn't spoilers you know. Ironically, you annoy me more with all your spoiler warnings than without them.

A) Yes and no, you get to choose different weapons, but not at the start of missions. Instead, there are weapon crates dropped via helicopter spread out through the game, usually 2-3 per level, where you can pick any of the weapons you've found.

B) No, you can not. At least not in Single Player.

C) Yes.

actually what i meant was; at the beginning of each mission do you get to pick, for example, a M16 203 and pistol, or a sniper rifle and something else, or do you just get given something, and then have to find something else?

So your saying that you put up spoiler warnings so someone could later on post the end of the story?

if someone doesn't want to know ANYthing about the story, then its not unreasonable to put spoiler warnings on the thread. failing all else it allows everyone later to just post whatever onto it without needing to worry, or get trolled at later.

consider it a: be warned, if you are trying to not know anything about the story, don't read this thread.

You start a mission with what ever guns you had at the end of the previous mission. There is usually a weapon crate at the begining of each level or at the very least, before sections where you might need to change weapons (like when you would need a sniper or rocket launcher).

The weapons are not customizable, but you can find different versions through single player. Like a simi-auto sniper with a red dot instead of a 12x.

Is the game worth it, hell yes. MW2 has grown kinda stale (especially the multiplayer with all the cheats and exploits). This game is by all measures superior to MW2 multiplayer, IMHO. And I am not a fan of the franchise, this is the first one I have really played at any length.

for f*ck sake read the former posts.

in future i won't bother putting f*cking spoiler warnings on any threads that regard games recently come out. i will just put the thread up then get fucking ragged on for NOT putting up fucking spoiler warnings.

and as you are not putting a valid answer to the question why bother replying at all?? particularly when even a brief scan of any of the above posts would show you are saying nothing new.

i refer you to the post directly above yours.

A: You start with a rifle at the start of the campgain and pick up new weapons from fallen enemies or that are hidden around the levels that are stored in crates throughout the levels so you can change them out when it is needed.

B:In the campgain there is no customization you just pick up new scoped versions of weapons but online there is a small amount of customization for example do you want a shotgun attachment or a grenade launcher on your assault rifle or do you want to pick a skill so you can attach a scope to your rifle.

C: Do not get this game if you don't have broadband or if you don't like online games if you get it for simply single player it is collasal waste of money and you would be better off buying something else.

a) you can change your guns at any time by going to supply crates, and select from any gun you've touched in campaign
(other than ww2 guns)
b) most guns can have reddots or acog scopes, 40mm grenade launcher can be swapped for smoke or shotgun in MP.
c) you play online? BY IT.
you don't: rent it.
also, to justify the spoiler alerts, the campagin ends with russia starting to invade north America through Alaska (aka with remotely plausible supply routes) CLIFFHANGER!

I'm not sure about multiplayer, but the singleplayer campaign doesn't feature an M16. The 'main' assault rifle you get in the single-player campaign is an XM8. There's only one pistol, too.

A) No. You can choose different weapons you've found so far from supply crates DURING the mission, but at the start you either carry over what you had when you finished the last mission or get reset to some other designated weapons depending on the mission in question.

B) Not in single player. I think there is some in multi-player... well, there is a little in Single Player, but it amounts to picking up the same gun with different attachments. I.E. if you want an XM8 with iron sights rather than the ACOG scope, you need to go find one. After that you can choose between the two from the previously mentioned crates.

C) I'd say so. I had fun with the single-player and the multi-player is set to be a pretty big deal, though I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet.

[/quote] why would you do that. I'm just saying that you didn't need to put spoiler warningson this post, that doesn't mean you should't put spoilers on any other post. You say I should read more...

are you serious?? how long is the game on single player? how many levels and are they as big as they were in BFBC 1 (or whatever the initials are...)

p.s. i guess this means Yahtzee will dislike it then. (wait, he's disliked every game ever...)

I never played BFBC 1 since that was a console only release so I can't say how it compares.

BFBC 2 single player seems to be rather short, though. Some people claims to have finished the single player campaign in under 10 hours. I started off on hard for my first play-through and given my current progress, I'd wager I'll finish it in maybe a little more than 10 h of effective game time. The single player gameplay is by no means bad, but spending the equivalent of 40 Eur for ~10 h gameplay seems a bit steep to me. The main attraction of the game is clearly online multiplayer.
