Say what you want about the all the ghost hunter shows...but this one always creeped me out pretty bad. Unfortunately you've got to wait till the last like, 20 seconds of the clip to see the creepy part.

You know what makes this entirely un-creepy for me? Apart from my usual scepticism regarding these shows, is the camera footage from wherever that chick was 'trapped' in. So... they threw the camera man in there with his equipment, taped her getting out (speaking of, camera-guy coulda given the second lad a boost or something), and then schlepped him back out again?

Things like that. That kills shows for me.

:p which is why I said "Say what you want about all the ghost hunter shows" because I know that there is PLENTY of criticism to be tossed their way (and I actually agree with most of said criticism). Really wish I could have found a clip that just showed the two shadows moving at the very end and didn't show all that BS with the girl being "trapped". So sorry if the lame lead-in ruined the creepy part. :p

I remember watching a friend swinging a decorative blunt sword around, hit solid air, and when he looked at the blade again, it was slightly bent.

We both had checked the sword before and there were no flaws.

I had a Peewee Herman doll that sat in his talking chair (The chair toy didn't talk itself, but you could stick your hand in the back to make the cushions move as if it was talking)on top of a bookshelf. He'd been sitting there for years unnoticed because I'd outgrown the toys, not to mention they were both broken somehow. One night, I REALLY noticed Peewee...

He was looking at me. Staring at me, even though he had always been facing to the side. His mouth opened and started stretching down way too far. His skin yellowed with jaundice and opened in places with oozing sores. The very top of his head vanished and bloody brain matter bubbled up over the rim a little. Zombie Herman kept staring at me like this and all I could do was stare back in horror. I was too scared to even scream, lest the noise wake it and bring it to life.

Eventually I pulled the covers over my head and tunneled my way to the foot of the bed where the bookshelf was and peeked out from under the clothy shelter and saw... The kaleidoscope that also sat on top of the bookshelf, next to Peewee, also mostly forgotten until that night.

Needless to say, both toys were put elsewhere and forgotten about again until I moved.

My dad is a walking spooky moment. Sometimes I swear he walks into the kitchen but when I go in, he's not there. Probably my imagination.

Also, I'm pretty sure there's a ghost cat prowling about my home

My home was described to me upon purchase as haunted however I dismissed this, The entity or ghost I now know as "The Old Lady" is fairly active and seems to inhabit the lower level of my split level home. The lights would turn on and off, the laundry room door (which I call the Horror Movie door due to the loud hinges) opens fully, bangs against the wall and closes again and the dining room chairs will move. This all is usually reserved for when the room is unoccupied. The sounds however echo through the house. I learned one day that to question her existence will result in thrown objects and terrified friends. The Old Lady appears to have died in what it my bedroom and I'm kind of stuck with her. Just last night I was playing MW3 in the lower level and the sound from the dryer was annoying me so I got up and closed the laundry room door and sat down only to have the damn door swing open again.

It's ok guys, it's not like i wanted to sleep tonight or anything...

OT: I have 2 minor stories and i also have 2 stories that my friend told me.

Story 1: When i was sitting at my computer desk an empty glass slide about 2 inches to the right, i just stopped and stared at it for awhile, but later i found out that it was just because the condensation had wet the desk and my desk has an ever so slight bend in it.

Story 2: One afternoon, while going to collect eggs from our chicken coop, i swear a voice came from the tree i was underneath saying something like "hey kid", i proceeded to think "fuck the eggs i'm going back inside"

Friend story 1: When my friend was visiting family in the Philippines, he saw an orb of light float around his house, just around the house, didn't do anything else besides float around the house.

Friend story 2: When he was on a school camp they were camping about 100 meters from this old partially destroyed caravan that someone had been murdered in. Later that night my friend had to get up to pee, but they were camping in the middle of nowhere so the bathroom is behind a tree. (it is an all boys school). When he saw a similar orb of light as he did in his house in the Philippines. Although we dismissed this as the moonlight catching on some glass. But again later that night my friend woke up and he could see the figure of someone walking right next to their tent, When he asked the other kids and teachers, none of them had been out of their tents all night.

I have had a ton of experience with the 'shadow people' in my time. I was outside, behind my parents house in the back yard. I had just finished mowing the lawn, when i caught movement out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look at it and something ducked behind the bushes of the house. Thinking someone was in the yard, i moved toward the bush, at a relaxed pace, after all, nothing good comes from charging headlong into something. I got about 3 feet away when i saw more movement to my right. Now about 8 feet to my right is a 2 story shed in the backyard, it was originally the house the people slept in while building the house that is the main domicile now. Keep in mind, the house was built in the 1800's. I looked to my right and saw a shadow move just behind the shed door. My dad was in the house so it ruled him out. I moved towards the bush and it rustled slightly. Thinking this was a bad situation i moved away, and a chill ran down my spine, and made me physically ill. I looked back towards the shed, and a lace curtain in the window fell, like someone had been peering out of it, and saw 2 sets of red eyes fading downwards, almost as if they were sinking. Suffice to say, i never went in there again.

Another odd experience i had at that house was when i was sleeping. My room was in the basement. I normally work Graveyards, as i'm an insomniac and therefore can't sleep all that well. I had fallen asleep around 2 in the morning. I 'awoke' around 4, and i could tell this by the alarm clock on my bedside table. Which has a lamp built in. I looked at the clock and it said 4:12. What woke me up was the fact that my body wasn't moving, but felt like it was being simultaneously dipped into lava and 0 degree water at the same time. I then suddenly had trouble breathing. I felt like 2 hands were wrapped around my throat. Then i heard something say "I hear he hates it when you choke him when he's sleeping" Then the hands stopped and i could breathe. Then i felt probably the most helpless i have ever been in my life. I could feel something coming toward me in the dark. It felt cold. Then i heard a sound that could only be described as a motorized blade starting up. I blinked, and looked at the clock on the table. It said 4:14. I then could move. I switched on the light, and the lightbulb burst and for a second, i heard the saw again.

Probably the worst one happened to me when i was 8 or 9. I was living at my Grandma's house with my parents, and had to pee in the middle of the night. I got up, went downstairs and used the bathroom in the hallway between the family room and the kitchen. I heard what sounded like my dad clearing his throat. He was an avid smoker at the time and was always clearing his throat. So i said "dad, are you ok?" No response. Heard the noise again. Again i asked my dad if he was ok. Nothing. So i flushed the toilet. The lights go out in the bathroom, and i hear loud breathing right behind me. I looked in the mirror and Saw 3 faces besides mine. Then my features became bright white and the faces behind me lengthened and looked like they were screaming. Then i heard my name loud and clear right beside me, and the door opened really fast. THen the images in the mirror flew at me, and i fell over, hitting my head on the sink. My dad said that he heard me screaming the word NO really loud, over and over and opened the door to see what was wrong and he said he saw nothing in the mirror, but neither of us used that bathroom again.

I have a bunch more, but most of those i can relate to night terrors. Except for when a buddy of mine and I went and explored some abandoned Indian schools and housing. I believe we actually encountered a Ghoul. It was tall, lanky, had greyish skin and seemed to glow a little bit. It chased us for a good hour, and broke open a door to an adjoining room that we were hiding in.

A couple months ago I was home alone and watching some TV, and I swear I saw my dog jump down the stairs and enter the living room, than I walk over and nothing's there.
So like a ghost dog? o;0
Actually I think it was the spirit of my dead dog who died in my house about five years ago. I missed her, and I think she came back to say hi XD

I have never had a spooky experience ever. >:I

Almost everyone I know seems to have at least one, but I myself can't have one happen to me. I'd want one to just to be able to share the story. Something that's kind of funny though is my when my brother is asleep, he talks, yells, swears, sometimes thrashes around. If you are near him and he doesn't wake up from it he'll usually sit up with his eyes open talking, and he doesn't remember any of it. Quite a thing to see someone asleep swing his arms and yell sonofabitch! at the wall.

Something freaky happened to me while I was drinking my coffee. I went for another sip but it was gone! Something or someone siphoned the coffee out of my mug when my attention was diverted. At this stage I'm not ruling evil spirits.

I've never had any paranormal experiances (though saying that right before going to bed is tempting fate a bit) but I do remember one time when I was watching The Ring with some friends, one of us had seen it before but the others hadn't so we were actually watching the film instead of having it on in the background. It had gotten to a scene where the phone was about to ring - pretty obviously telegraphed by the phone being in every shot - when my friend's mobile went off. Ordinarily that woud have been good timing and a fun little scare, but he'd recently changed the ringtone to one of the "classic" ringer styles instead of a tune... you know, pretty much exactly the same style as the phone in the film rings with. The worst part was that the scare didn't even frighten us in the traditional jump-in-your-seat way; we were expecting a phone to ring and one did, but I honestly can't fully describe that feeling of unsettled fear as it clicked in my head that the ringing wasn't comming from the TV.

I once was awakened by a hissing sound, reptilian in nature. As I opened my eyes there was a shadow skittering across my wall, which looked like a massive lizard in outline. I thought nothing of it, perhaps I heard an unrelated hiss and my mind filled in the gaps. My friend was startled by my telling of the event, as she was a Wiccan she was convinced I had a malevolent spirit looming around me. She proceeded to tell me ways that I could deal with it, mostly with certain incenses.

Not being superstitious I soon put it out of my mind. Nothing ever came of the incident, but I still vividly remember it due to it being the only terrifying event in my life where I began to acknowledge the possibility of spirits.

I was once using a Wuigi board (no clue on how to spell it)
Just for information, a ouija board's name comes from the French and German words for "yes", "oui" and "ja" (which should then be pronounced "weeya", which I think sounds funny :D).

As for spooky things for me: I once heard what sounded like footsteps coming towards my room and then entering, stopping at my bed. I turned around and opened my eyes and nothing was there. The footsteps then sounded again, leaving from my bed and going back down the hall.
My sister's apparently had heaps of paranormal stuff happen to her, in and outside of, our house, like a figure of the robot from Lost in Space shoved off a shelf (I actually heard this when it happened), the stove catching fire and seeing Bloody Mary in the bathroom mirror.
I don't believe in ghosts or spirits, while she does, yet all the stuff happens to her and not me. You'd think the ghosts would want to terrorise me more than her.

I don't know how to add images or anything, so I guess I'll just talk about them instead, and maybe add a pic if someone tells me how, though googling "Shadow people" is pretty effective.

Basically, I've seen shadow people many times. I dismissed them as just a dream or something, even though it's happened a few times, but then someone linked me a picture of one, with an article, and...yeah. Seeing something that you thought you were imagining chronicled, drawn and written about is...worrying.
I refuse to look this up for fear of understanding exactly what a 'shadowperson' is, because I'm pretty sure I see these bastards frequently.
EDIT: F*ck! My goddamn curiosity. Now I'm going to be paranoid -.-
EDIT2:Damn it I picked the wrong day to overload on horror. Watching creepy films, (including don't be afraid of the dark which was pretty good) playing amnesia and browsing through creepy threads. Well time to pull an all nighter.

I hate this thread... You're all assholes for making me too scared to sleep. -_-

OT: I see shadow... things out of my peripheral vision a lot. I say things because they're usually not human sized, but like cat or dog sized which would make sense I guess since I've had both a cat and dog die in my house.

I''m totally getting chills right now too and it's freaking me out. I'm leaving this thread!

Edit1: Yep, not sleeping tonight. I hate you all lol.

Edit2: Is it weird to get random hardcore chills then get really emotional? Because I've suddenly started crying and I DON'T KNOW WHY...

(I should probably put in a disclaimer saying this didn't actually happen to me)

Apparently there's something called "The Rape Shack" in my neighborhood (which I've seen. It's more like a strange looking minitower). Supposedly it's haunted with a few ghosts with red eyes that chase you if you go there around night.

The reason why I'm telling this story you guys are probably thinking is made up is because I've heard this same account from one person who moved away from this neighborhood, and the person who ended up moving here a good two years after the kid who originally told me had left. Two of the same stories from two different people.

My dad used to do that. I think it was depression though (I mean, actual diagnosable depression) because once he went on anti-depressents, it stopped.
