Spore port?

Just so we're clear, XP is 7 years old.

If the game required DirectX 10, it would make sense, and I'd understand

but it doesn't.

It's EA's DRM tacked on that lifts the requirement from 2000 to XP

And Spore IS marketed at "people like me"

Gamers, who enjoy strategy games and character customization

OMG!! Why do people who are on consoles want pc games, i mean People could wish for things like the force unleashed coming for pc. In fact it comes out on every platform EXCEPT the Frigging Pc, Now thats just insulting! So why wish for things to come out on consoles? Things are PC exclusive just like the witcher and crysis, so if you want to play them then buy a better pc goddamit! They wont be bringing The witcher to consoles will they? Nor will they make a pc port of a JRPG EVER! So sorry if you dont have a good pc and if im being a bit too harsh on you, but i just hate it when people want the sky to turn black because they cant have a PC game. Sorry if this bothers you but its the way of the world, Besides you can get the ds version ! Oh and if it comes out on the wii then thats FINE i guess because it will not be as good as the pc version ^^. If this is rather disruptive in anyway or you think its a massive rant (Which it is pretty much) then just ignore it. Lol woops didnt notice that, but you know what im talking about dont you? Anything thats concluded Console exclusive is quite unlikely to be put onto a pc. And same with the pc, its the way of the world.

Seriously, jump off the high-horse before you get pushed, you're making me slightly ashamed to be in the same classification as you as a PC user...
People on a console wish for PC games for the same reason PC gamers wish for console games. A decent game has come out, you can't play it.

On the upside console->PC ports are more common than PC->Console ports, and if all else fails you can get emulators.

Emulators are shite, And ive had my fair share of bruises and broken bones thank you very much, though not from conversations such as this. I understand what your trying to say, but seriously if you think im the only one whos doing this then put on your binoculars because there are many more. In fact i was in the same position as young chuckles once and given the same thing. In fact i was labeled an idiot for even playing games on a pc. So why am i doing this? Because i felt i had to express my feelings about it, Im pretty much calmed down now so sorry if i was a complete dickhead back there but its how i felt about the situation.

Jeez...I thought that was just my grandma =/ Not even a cracked version of it? >_< I had like, 2 of em then I just bought Vista...oh well, I can understand how you wouldn't want to purchase a new OS but I do suggest picking up Vista since well, its here to stay. But, I do think that they will patch it for 2000 too, so dont give up all hope(even though im still astonished at the fact that EA of all companies, isnt supporting it for 2000...or 98 =P )

Not any video card...basically any from the last 4 or 5 years though. My video card is complete shit and doesn't have pixel shader 2.0 so it can't play it, but I'm glad I'm upgrading this old computer soon.

mk lets look at the other way around... when games come out for consoles give it 3 to 10 days and www.mininova.com and theres are torrent for that exact game call of duty 4 assassin creed nitendo 64 emulators etc...... and ps the witcher sucked

I think PCs have the leg up when it comes to ports, especially for us lowly 360 owners. Games are all built on PCs, so it's not a stretch for any game to show up on a PC. The only thing stopping it is licensing and the whims of the publishers. If you're comfortable pirating, that limitation is removed entirely.

I think a console version of Spore is basically a must, and I see no reason why it would be unreasonable to presume that it would be done.

Theres a point, but look on the bright side! Fable 2 was rumoured to be on the PC and now the truth is out! The rumours are false! No Fable 2 for the PC! HOORAY! And of course the piracy... I suppose thats what scares game developers into thinking that if they DO put their game on the pc, it will be a rather large waste of money. What im trying to say is, there are plenty more fish in the sea and its no use going crazy because you cant have something. Spore will probably get ported anyway since the developers are working for EA.
And Microsoft NEVER makes a pc game nowadays, Except for halo 2. WTF! Microsoft made the pc, they should at least support it. Well they did didnt they, Vista was right? No vista was a huge waste of microsofts time and even publishing a game on it too. Right so whos going to buy vista just so you can play a 4 year old game that isnt as good as the original.
