The only physical activity I enjoy doing is Airsoft.

I despise sports for a number of reasons as well.

While I value fitness, I dislike sport. Everyone who doesn't suck is stupidly competetive even when there are no stakes. Watching others playing sport is one of the most horribly boring, over-valued wastes of time ever thought up. There is no aesthetic value, it's not remotely compelling in any way and people brag about their team winning as if it were a personal achievement. Seriously, sports fans can go suck a nut.

Rugby... through and through! I can watch it indefinately, and I like to play too, although I haven't in a few years! I used to be a Hooker for my towns B-team!

I also like to watch the olympics/winter olympics and the commonwealth games!

I play golf with mates too on occasion!

Finally I will play sport as dictated by my unit (I am in the military) this is anything from uni-hoc to basketball to badminton/tennis, what ever! Even played a few friendly competitions of Vollyball, Swimming and dodgeball too!

Organised sports and competitions can be great fun if you have the right people to do them with! I hated PE at school, but it is also strangely one of the things I miss the most about school!

I enjoy watching sports casually, mainly American football and basketball to the point that I know a decent bit about the rules. I'm definitely not athletic enough or of the appropriate build to really play them on a team or anything, but I suppose I enjoy playing basketball the most. Baseball is bearable for me as well, but only if I'm actually at the stadium for some weird reason. Still doesn't match the excitement of the Superdome for Saints home games though. That place is loooooouuuuddddd.

It should be pretty obvious from that last sentence I'm a Saints fan, but I don't really have any favorite team in basketball. Maybe the Mavericks. Also a very casual follower of the Chicago Cubs due to my grandfather being a longtime fan of them. I always tell him "there's always next year" when we talk about the Cubs and I ask about how they're doing during the season.

I have watched and played basketball since I was eight, I doubt I will ever stop loving the sport. I like playing football but hate watching it, and like watching rugby, but don't play it. I agree, the stereotype that gamers don't like sports is silly,, I know as many gamers who like/play sports as ones who don't; and often it's the ones who like sports who are better gamers too :)

I've played Cricket, Basketball, and softball, I am a great fan of many sports both at home and abroad. I think it's just not talked about much on here because the community is not really designed to discuss it regularly over gaming and such.

I've never been one for playing sports myself, but I'm an avid follower of Formula One. As for more physical sports, cricket is about all I care for. It helps living right in front of a cricket ground too.

Sports are awesome. Most team sports suck, though.

Weird. Airsoft is "supposed" to be the last resort to competition junkies who can't enjoy the lack of direct competition in other sports.

I've never really liked team sports, so tbh the only sport I suppose I do is cycling.

My favorite sport to watch are baseball (if you want to know my favorite team you can look at my username) and American Football (go Giants). The sports I play however are Tennis and Equestrian Sports (Horseback Riding).

I watch the odd MotoGP or F1 race, but aside from that I've never been big on sports. My entertainment has always come from the arts (movies, TV shows, games etc.) and things of my own creation (Lego, craft-type things). My older brother is pretty big on Rugby League, Football and Basketball, and it annoys him sometimes that I never want to join in.

I play and watch football (the variety where you actually use your feet)

favorite team: Ajax

personal skill level: very much recreational, although I do get competitive after the first whistle is blown

I watch most other sports as they pass on the sports news like tour the france/giro/vuelta, GP tennis, formula 1 etc. But I don't really get into it because I don't practice them myself

Oh man, where do i begin...
I think the first actual sport i took up was soccer (around age 5-7)

Later on i started losing interest in that and found a new (ever-lasting) love of basketball and have been into it for the better part of my life now. (9 and onwards)

There was also a period when i went nuts, doing a lot of track-and-field type stuff, which was great fun (like around age 15 for a year). Was some of the hardest training i've ever done and i loved it.

As for the sports that i enjoy watching and know something about:
Well i watch the NBA recaps daily and keep up to date with the goings-on.

Whenever i hear the word "Olympics" i get all giddy, because once i realised the kind of effort needed to do some of the events (such as discus, pole vaulting, etc), i really learned to appreciate all of it.

I also won't shy away from watching a good tennis match or football game (of the american variety).

Also, i never play any of the fantasy sports, because they're boring as all hell to me.

I love some sports but hate others
I used to play and enjoy Rugby sevens and hockey, but now I much prefer rowing and sailing but still watch your silly ground sports Xp.

been picked to represent the Sea Cadets in Field gun running this year again... should be fun.

I'm a big fan of marital arts in general, as well as climbing, fencing, squash, swimming, and anything that involves me being knackered or bruised. Don't know what it is, but the feeling of having worn myself out until it hurts makes me feel better the rest of the week.

Hence, my injured ankle is making me stir-crazy. D=
