I never got into "sports" games because I'm not geeky enough to be interested in real sports. I mean all those statistics and player names. I rather stick to less geeky things like Planescape: Torment, Final Fantasy, and Fallout which don't have nearly as much overly complicated statistics and memorization of names. :p

A strange game-the only winning move is not to play...
I don't understand sports games- I thought that you play videogames to do things that you can't do with your friends in real life.

Triangles. Football is all about passing in triangles. Though to be honest I don't like these new fangled football games. I haven't moved on from Sensible Soccer 2006. Buggy piece of shit it may be, but it plays just like I want a football game to play.

I dont play any games that I wouldnt enjoy in real life so in other words that means that I would only play NHL or Madden. Other than that I dont really like other sports games bc they dont seem to utilize any real strategy.

It's kind of pointless it's playing the same level over and over again. And you get fatter. And your game becomes outdated by a game thats exactly the same every year.

first official rules for EUF: 1863, first official rules for USF: 1867. Don't act like European football and American football can't call their sports what they want. And before it was called football in Europe it was called kickball c.1170-1280. As well as the fact with the many different rule bases until official rules in 1863, most rules did not have penalties for using the hands, especially to knock the ball down. So stop with the EU football is superior whining. a trunk is a boot, and a biscuit is a cracker/cookie. big deal.

The sad part is, FIFA used to be an amazing series. All the FIFA games between and including 98' to 02' were F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C. I had spent hundreds of hours on each of them and boy, did I have fun.
Then EA started being douchebags with the whole team/player management and such, "advanced controls", "realistic physics", etc.
I tried playing FIFA 03' when it came out. Needless to say, I ditched that POS after 30 minutes.
When FIFA 10' was released, I thought to myself "Hey, maybe it's REALLY good!". Boy, was I wrong...
What they did was utter bull feces. They combined two games into one - namely the actual FIFA and the Total Club Manager. Both of which were incredible games up to a certain point, mind you.
Why the hell should I bother arranging crap for two hours instead of just getting into the game and tackling Cristiano Ronaldo?

Either way, if you don't like football, don't play games about it. It's quite comparable to JRPGs, really. If you aren't into the whole anime thing, you probably won't care for games like Final Fantasy. You probably won't care for it FOURTEEN TIMES.

I like sports and sports games. I play sports. Stop crying because the rugby players took your lunch money.
That's funny because I actually play Rugby.
