I had create an account just to say that most of the German written here, except the line of Allerged_Alec, is horribly wrong.
Ja, das mag ja sein, aber sie versuchen es wenigstens :D
Yeah, you're right, but at least they're trying ^^

Welcome to The Escapist! This forum treasures proper language, spelling and grammar use. Perhaps you can be the German language monitor!

Gud Vaersaagod barnebarn

I'm pretty sure it means something like "Please god, this child!" which my grandmother used to say in exasperation at me.

Nah, I don't think this forum needs someone to care about that.

Besides, English is the only foreign language I am able to use. With time, seven years of school French have gone to waste.

You should really take his comment with a great deal of sarcasm.

Il y a dix ans que j'avait des études francaises en école, beaucoup de temps pour oublier le plus des mots.
It's been ten years that i've had french lessons in school, a lot of time to forget most of the words.

Aber als Bayer kann ich selbstverständlich deutsch, auch wenn viele sagen, dass Bayern das nicht richtig können ;)
However, being a bavarian i can of course speak german, even though many people say bavarians can't do that properly ;)

Dansk er jo mit modersmål, så det har jeg jo ingen problemer med at tale.

Danish is my motherstongue so I have no problems speaking that.
