Spyro and Crash Bandicoot pretty much owned my childhood...
Also, people liked the second more than the third? From what I remember of it, (admittedly not all that much), it was over in what seemed like seconds. I enjoyed it, but to me it was always the weakest link of the 3 good Spyro games. As for any Spyro game after 3, they are all abominations.

Anyway, Spyro is what started me on video games. I loved- and still love- the first game. 2 and 3... eh. Entertaining, but not great, though the second had some lovely locations (I still hope for a graphically updated re-release of the first few one day, imagine going through the Dream Weavers world, or Zephyr with current graphics?). The only game of it I played after 3 was Season of Fire, which was meh, until the Legend trilogy came out.
I enjoyed them, and they got better as they progressed. Dawn of the Dragon is my second overall favorite, right after the very first.
Played the demo and liked it. But I didn't have the $ during those years to buy it myself and my parents didn't buy me a whole lot of games. So I missed out on those. Which is too bad, because the demo was really good. Sounds like it was a good ole time.
Agent 9 from Year of the Dragon was my first ever interaction with a video game character that had a gun.

Sorry about that. Spyro the Dragon just happens to be my first game ever, which naturally also makes it the BEST FUCKING GAME EVER MADE.

You know, usually when people say that a sequel ruined the original somehow....I tell them to shut the fuck up. I mean, it's not like the original is actually effected by the bad sequel, right? I only have vague memories of Spyro the Dragon and the PS2 drove the series into the dirt.
Still, I think that Sierra did a good job on Dawn of the Dragon. I've seen very few opinions of Dawn... Odd...

Beat the first one, never got around to finishing the second one for some reason though.
Loved those games, though! The first one had some pretty hilarious moments, not just from the enemies but from the Dragon statues you rescued as well. Never played any of the games after the 2nd- 'Ripto's Rage' I think it was? From what I hear though I apparently got out at a good time.

A friend of my parents got me the first Spyro game from Australia...(well I think it was, that or Austria) and I was like "yay a videogame!"

Yeah, it was spectacular
Year of the Dragon was my favourite, but the first game is close behind it.
It's a shame Spyro has burnt out now (hah), for me IMO, A Hero's Tail was pretty good aswell.

Gate way to glimmer is what i think of when i think of the word 'child hood'. i bought it again an completed it 100%. i wish i could go back in time an show off to my younger self XD
