Its not that you dont think that it is real, it's that you just tossed a bunch of wrong facts while claiming that it was fake.

The video may be real or not but what you said was completely wrong in everyway.

umm a video from some random guy with less than 100 veiws and which was clearly recorded by some sort of toaster, yeh im not buying it, maybe when the game gets advertised by a company ill get exited

also advertising for a game starts LONG before the alpha testing stage (especially for FPS games, sequels and highly anticipated games like this one) so if it was in alpha testing we would have heard of it by now

pandemic made battlefront 1 and 2 that did well but then made LOTR battlefront that failed horribly and eventually went bankrupt and since then a star wars battlefront 3 game has only existed in our hopes and dreams (until some kid makes a shitty internet video about it and everyone believes that the game is in alpha testing "facepalm")

The videos are footage of the third battlefront that was being created by Free Radical. Lucas Arts had the game canceled when Free Radical's Haze completely tanked.

Why? Oh why? Stop with the torture already! give it to us! These were some of the best ps2 games, and definitely some of the best star wars games. I don't want to wait any longer, especially after the fail that was LotR conquest. Unfortunately, I don't think that's legit footage, sadly. It still doesn't change the fact that I want another Battlefront game.

thats pretty interesting, but the guy did say that none of the work free radical was doing would be carried on into the next project and specifically mentioned the whole planet+space all in one battle being scrapped (although im not a fan of the space battles anyway)

so in my opinion this has gone from being an obvious troll on youtube to being a maybe-ish might possibly be source but im still waiting for some sort of official marketing before im convinced battlefront 3 will come out

the stuff about spark unlimited making it seams interesting but im still sceptical about it (especially when it said "3rd person action/adventure game and the rest was very vague, and i refer to my similar point on marketing, if this game was in serious development lucas arts would probably be advertising the shit out of it but instead they are advertising some stupid kinect game that anyone can tell is a sure-fire flop (lets face it, its a worse version of force unleashed and force unleashed did pretty terribly)

In no way does the OP say this is the new Battlefront...
The guy also has some more videos, and there was a crazy one where some guy confirmed that Spark Unlimited was meeting up with Lucas Arts for a party. The whole thing is on twitter. Spark Unlimited has also sad that if they told you who the publisher was, it would be obvious what game they are making. He has a bunch of other clues suggesting that its battlefront, but there is no definitive way to tell until they announce it, and he thinks the announcement might be at E3.

They did. It was called Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron for PSP and DS. Okay it's not technically the same game but all the "story" elements seen in the leaked trailer and the concept of two concurrent theaters of battle (meaning flying into space from the ground) were included.

Man, it's like no one ever realized this game existed or at least made the connection between the trailers and the game.

Like the other guy said, this footage is not from what Battlefield 3 might become (Spark Unlimited IS making a game with LucasArts, that game is probably Battlefront 3), this footage is basicly for people that are interested in seeing what the Free Radical version was becoming, now if it is real or not it doesnt really matter all that much since it is more of a curiosity then it is the actual Battlefront 3.


I also highly disagree on existing advertisements for games that are still in pre-alpha, maybe from the really popular ones with sequels already confirmed even before finishing the previous game (Halo 2 to Halo 3 for example), and dont forget that this is LucasArts.

LucasArts would almost redeem itself if they jumped on stage during PAX or E3 and said, "SUPRISE BITCHES! WE'VE BEEN WORKN' ON DIS SHIT ALL ALONG!"

Just a note to everyone who's talking about missing Battlefront 2: The PC version is $10 normal price on Steam, will probably go on sale when the Easter sales start up, is still actively played, and will run on pretty much anything these days. If you played it on a console back in the day and miss the multiplayer, there's still that one platform where the multiplayer lives.

OT: Man what I wouldn't give for a Star Wars shooter on a modern system, whether it's Battlefront 3 or, my preference, Jedi Knight 4. It's been /way/ too long since we've had a Star Wars game in the genre.

I loved the old Battlefront games. They played like a 3rd person old Battlefield game + Star Wars. Man, I enjoyed killing Jedi in those games.
