Star Wars Battlefront 3?

Is there ever going to be a Star wars Battlefront 3? I mean I know Free Radical tanked, but i was kind of bummed because that was one of my favorite last-gen console games. So I was wondering if we're ever going to get another console-based battlefront?(PS3/360)

I really hope we get a proper Battlefront 3 though. All these PSP games just aren't doing it.

I would be so, so, so happy. On the other hand, any game set up against it's predecessors is bound to fail simply because of whatever nostalgic value you might hold for it.

Thats one game I'm really pumped to see! BF2 was one of my favourite PS2 games, and one of the few multiplayer games at that. It would be so good to play online. =D

In my opinion renegade squadron was the best game in the series. A great create-a-class system that was actually balanced aside from the guided RL, and silky smooth online play? That game kept me playing for months until hackers came along and ruined it in every single game.

I sure hope so. I've never been a huge Star Wars fan, but those games were just so much fun that I couldn't help but enjoy them.

Eh, I never really cared for the PSP ones. I know some people like them, but I just never liked them.

I think it will come out eventually. I've heard it's been picked up by someone else.

It's a series that has a lot of potential, but I wish they would reduce autoaim and nerf those damned rolling droids (you know the ones I'm talking about, with the machine gun and the shield). I'm worried that if they came out with one now they would mess it up by making it too similar to The Force Unleashed, which I didn't like.

I've been asking for a Battlefront 3 for years. Lucas Arts hasn't made any truly fun games in long time.

IIRC, Pandemic Studios developed both Battlefront games, and I read a rumor in EGM back around 2007/8 that they were going to develop the third one... and that's the last I heard of it.
