Hi guys, really simple question: my computer is fairly old and I just want to make sure I'll be able to run Starcraft 2.

My specs: Intel Pentium D 3.0 GhZ (2 CPUs)
4 GB Ram
GPU: GeForce 7600 GS (512 MB)
OS: Windows XP

My main concern is the processor and GPU. Since I don't game a lot on PC (except RTSs), I'm not sure how either stack up to the minimum requirements for Starcraft 2.

I appreciate the help!

Theoretically, if you can identify your system specs, you should also be able to easily compare them to the game's listed requirements.

But then again, given that you are 110, I would expect you to have some trouble with this new fangled technology.

You should be able to but that GPU seems a bit low(or at least I think it is, could be wrong).

Holy crap, he is 110, that insane, I'm surprised he even know what a computer was let alone whats in it.

Theoretically, yes, I should be able to compare it. But I thought processors weren't all about numbers and about the type. I appreciate the sarcasm; I'm going back to my meal of applesauce and raisin bran

Thanks, ComeDown

The official specs are as follows
# 2.6 GHz Pentium® IV or equivalent AMD Athlon® processor
# 128 MB PCIe NVIDIA® GeForce® 6600 GT or ATI Radeon® 9800 PRO video card or better
# 12 GB available HD space
# 1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista®/Windows® 7 users)
# DVD-ROM drive
# Broadband Internet connection
It looks like you could *just about* squeak through with everything set to minimum.

It'll run on low or maybe medium. You can probably overclock the CPU to 3.5ghz or more, and also investing maybe $150 in a GPU would do you good (like a 5770).
