Quick thread.

I bought Starcraft 2 a while ago, seeing as I love RTS and wanted to see why it is so raved about.

I read on wikipedia that it has a overheating problem on the menu, a bug which causes the screen to continue rendering itself, thus quickly heating up the graphics card, and in some cases causing it to burn out.

Is this a problem which I need to go out of my way to prevent or are there simple solutions and things I can do so I can play the game without having to worry about it?

Thank you for any advice.

Construct Additional Pylons.

Lol sorry, had to. As far as I've heard that problem has been corrected in an earlier patch.

That was fixed ages ago.

Install speedfan and monitor your heat anyway though, just because.

And I am not aware of Blizzard ever having fixed this issue. Then again, they might just have.

Guys, while we're hear, I was about to buy a car, but I heard they don't make them with seatbelts or brakes. Is this a problem I need to go out of my way to prevent, or are there simple solutions to it? :(
This overheating issue was of serious concern back in the early days of StarCraft II. Study the issue before you make yourself look like a fool.

The early days of StarCraft II. Sorry, I just kind of thought that was funny. I don't think the game is a year old yet.

Lack of seatbelts was a problem in early cars that has long since been fixed. Same thing.

The early days of Starcraft II. Damn fella you make the game sound really old, it's not been out a year yet.

On Topic.

It wasn't a bug either, it was some moron at Blizzard not doing his job properly and locking frame rates on the menu screens.

I know they moved a lot of their staff to their new "project Titan" or whatever they are calling this new MMO they are working on and it seems they left the cleaners and tea makers in charge of the important stuff in their other games.
