Starcraft 2: Will you pay full price for 1/3 of a game?

Most of it, most annoying was changing a character who had an extremely minor roll to a female who wouldnt fucking dissapear. Why does every movie have to have some stupid romance even when it doesnt make any sense at all.

Do you mean Eowyn or Arwen? In the books Eowyn had a fairly hefty role as Aragorn's admirer (I admit they ignored the primary message of this section in the film), and Arwen was basically the only love interest in the series and had that whole backstory about her giving up her immortality for him.

If anything, I'd say Jackson cut out far more than he made up since he couldn't fit anything like as much information into the film as there was in the books.

OT: This is just sounds like DOW series tbh, they released expansions with new campaigns.
Granted you got a couple new armies, but mostly it was campaign based advancement.

Sick of people saying this. It ISN'T 1/3 of a game. it's going to be a 30+ hour RTS, much longer than many other games, and about as long as the entire original Starcraft. You simply only play as the Terran in the campaign, the other races are getting campaigns added in expansions. In the original Dawn Of War, you only played as the Spacce Marines in the campaiugn, and it was only a 10-15 (Or, if you're a slower RTS player, 15-20) hour campaign, and no one complained about it.

I won't be paying for it period. I never personally got into the Starcraft fanaticism.. different strokes for different folks. Even having said that, I believe the Starcraft ship has sailed a long time ago, and even as a non-fan, I can't simply come to terms with understanding how anyone would throw a fit over this game. I mean, it's such an old franchise with no installments since the first, which was many years ago. Starcraft wasn't even innovative back then, it was just popular for various reasons. Personally, it was everything I hated about RTS games.. specifically, the strategic importance of the "Zerg".

Games that use any sort of zergin' strategy, or allow it, do not get my attention for very long. It eliminates strategy, makes everything seem ridiculous.

Die-hard fans I 'spose.

I won't pay full price for [sup]1[/sup]/[sub]3[/sub] of a game. However, I consider StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty to be a full game with planned expansions. Like Fallout 3, or Mass Effect 2.

nerds have tons of money from their geek squad jobs so i would count on them buying all 94 60$ games for each unit they will make forever,how bout you just pick a new hobby like being handsome or funny so girls will be attracted to you?

Well I for one mostly play Blizzard RTSs for story. I never really even played Warcraft III for example, I just bludgeoned through the campaign with God Mode.

I realize I'm probably a minority, but the campaign is what's important to me. Multiplayer is a bonus.

Wings of Liberty is Starcraft 2. The other 2 are expansions. You will be able to play all 3 races for multiplayer and computer battles. They are just beefing up the other campaigns and making it as epic as possible. Would you rather have a half-assed version with a flimsy story? I don't see the problem unless they release all of them for 60$ each. Which they won't, I'm pretty they stated that.

Actually im pretty sure they stated that they will be $60 each. Iv said it before I tried the multiplayer and thought it was crap and I honestly im not paying $180 for a 20hour long single player game.

No, I'm paying full price for a full game that happens to be the first third of a story. You know, like Mass Effect.

for the 1/3 of a movie no, but I did want to yell at him for using 1/4 of the book and making up the other 3/4 of the movie and on top of that doing a horrid job at it.

With what he had to work with, I'd say he did a damn good job. LotR is a shitastic book. And yes I read it. All of it. Fuck Tom Bombadil.

It fucking sucks. If I can be honest with you, I'll buy Wings of Liberty without question, and then download pirated versions of the expansions. Feel free to purchase all three "separate games" - I just know that I won't.(You're only fooling yourself if you argue that these are like three different games, and not simply some added single-player content that should have been there in the first place.)

I've spent hours upon hours on first Warcraft, then Warcraft II, then Starcraft, then Warcraft III and its expansion, then World of Warcraft. Don't talk to me about "supporting" Blizzard.

From WoW they have like one fucking gazillion dollars, and what do they do? Sell two "expansion packs" priced at 60$ each, on top of a 60$(or 40$, doesn't matter) game. Seriously, you're only fucking giving me terran campaign in the original purchase!? Are you fucking with me!?

So in essence you're telling me that SCII will cost me about 180$, considering I would want both protoss and certainly the zerg campaign as well, given that terran are about as fascinating to watch in action as two cardboard cut-outs of Matt Leblanc performing fellatio on eachother.

These games are HUGE! Bigger than the originals by a long shot by themselves, thats not counting all 3 together... They will also add new Multiplayer stuff as well (Units and ect)
