Well, I know creeps were XP, but I always thought they also worked as a sort of buffer against super fast expansion for resource mongers.
There are rocks guarding expansions on the current maps. The rocks are also armored with 3k HP so it's not like it's super trivial to break them early.

Queens look nothing like Raszagal, I think you want it to be more true than it is.

I'm just looking forward to the Xel'naga showing up and wrecking shit.

EDIT: Also @ Tauren Marines: They're offering a special Thor model to those who order the special edition, who's to say whether or not they release a Tauren Marine model as a part of some promotion down the line?
Well I've decided against buying (the) new Starcraft(s) since they're going to try to sell us the same game three times.
But if they come to their senses and stop treating their playerbase like shit, then that sounds pretty damn awesome...
Do you know what an expansion pack is? Jesus, I can't believe so many people bought that stupid line.

Yeah, "expansions"...
Sure, that's what they're calling it, but the campaign is split between the "main game" and two "expansions", each having it's own name afflited with the race it's representing...
Blizzard even said that they wanted the two "expansions" to feel like standalone games. I don't care how they're being catagorized, Blizzard is whoring itself out for money...

I liked the flying critters from the twighlight worlds in brood war, I will be said if they are gone...
I liked to mind control them and cause them to wander aimlessly scouting the map for me.

If you want to know why they didn't do it, it's because SC1 didn't do it. I really really like the SC2 beta, but blizzard seems absolutely terrified of changing the meta game at the level of significance creeps would add, likely due to the fears of alienating the Korean E-sports crowd.

or, you know, because they don't want to homogenize their RTS franchises.

Well if they didn't across WC2 and WC3 then I don't really think this argument has any merit.

The campaign of SC1 was split between the regular game and Brood War. The only difference here is that the entirety of Wings of Liberty's campaign is Terran rather than having 3 short ones for each race.

Honestly, look at Bioware with launch day DLC and bullshit like that. I can't stand that sort of thing, but I understand the concept of expansions.
