Personally I think this Battlereport is amazing. The game play has really been balanced to death hehe.

What do you guys think?

Wow. Absolutely stunning. Playing this is going to be like playing a whole new game. It seems to play nothing like the original. Still very balanced though. I like that.

About time! I was checking every day for the last 2 weeks. This is the only game I have been looking forward too.

Zerg guy should totally have gotten a third expansion down when he had map control... well, that's what I would have done, with only a minor effort to open the second route into the terran base. Then again, I never played the original all that much.

Great to see the Zerg in action. Also great to see some new units. Never heard of the nighthawks before. Also, I wonder what the chubby Zerg was that appeared briefly in the middle.

Did anyone else find themselves trying to move the map screen around while they were watching that movie? Old habits die hard. Unfortunatley im not buying three games. Next they'll be charging for battlenet. Looks like diablo will be the only Blizz classic i'm going back to.

You can buy just one part for the multiplayer and see if its worth...

Its not like they releasing the 3 parts at once to make you poor...

hehe I get you. :p

I'm still going to buy Wings of Liberty when it comes out, to see if Blizzard didnt screw it up or not.

Theres also no official word if the Zerg/Protoss parts will cost the same as of the terrans. We can only hope.

I'm personally rooting for "less".

I watched it a bit earlier. That was an amazing battle, I can't believe how well they're able to micro their units. I don't think I'd stand a chance against either of those players. >_<

Also the game looks amazing.

Blizzard expansions have traditionally been released costing around 10$ less than the original game was. I'm going to assume they'll follow the same pattern in this case as well, as I doubt the additional campaigns will be stand alone games.

Sadly the SC2 website hates me and takes literally hours to load but theres a question about this on the FaQ and the answer is quite vague but its leaning that it cost less than the first part.

Absolutely fantastic, I am dying to get my hands on the game. I have mixed feelings about the changes. On the one hand I guess it would be lame if they just released Starcraft I in HD, although I would buy that, the key is of course balance. I like new units, I'm just concerned about the tech tree becoming convoluted. I'm impressed by the new realistic effects of the terrain, where tree break line of sight and such, but I'm concerned about strategy getting bogged down in minutia. The outposts might be cool, but they might just end up being annoying. I have a lot of hope and I'm excited by all the innovation, but I guess I wont really know until I can get my hands on it.

At any rate, I've enjoyed the videos so far. Good stuff.

I'm impressed by the small additions: the high-yield resource patches, the boulders blocking alternate paths, and the watchtowers. The new Terran units look great as well. If only I could micro that well...

I love how units have evolved due to the way people used to play e.g. Overlords can block expansion and help build by generating creep because they're the units Zerg scout with in the early game, Marines get a mid/late game buff with the shield etc. Can't wait.

Looks good. I confess I was quite sceptic about SC2, but the two battle reports are really looking promising. If Blizz can followup with a solid single player experience, it'll be a winner.
