Has anyone else apart from me seen it? it makes me laugh now knowing all the wookies were killed leaving only chewie (i think George Lucas did this purposely to shun and disown the movie),that the holiday special cant figuratively exist. because it shows chewbacca as having a family. does any one else own it?

actually it doesnt screw it up... because the wookies arent extinct... in the novels you later meet his family again and there are several returns to Kashyykk.

RAARRRGGHHHHHH

I own this movie on dvd (illegally, not sure you can get it any more?) and it's painful. Genuinely painful to watch. It offendes ALL of my senses. And my 6th.

Yes... This 'holiday special' does indeed contain Wookie Porn...

At least I assume thats what the grandad was watching whilst making all those noises...

"illegally" is the only way to get it, george lucas tried (and failed badly) to buy all the master copies of it he was that ashamed of it, but its worth a mint if you can get an original

I started watching this thing online, a couple years back. Didn't think anything could be as legendarily bad as this thing is, but.....It's true. It's all true. Everything you hear about this special IS TRUE! I couldn't finish it. I made it to the point where you had Harvey Korman doing the cooking show and had to turn it off (somehow made it THROUGH the Wookie porn!)

Stories tell that Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford were smashed while doing this, and it shows.

Also beware: Bea Arthur sings.

One of these days i want to watch that Boba Fett cartoon, but seriously.. This thing is PAIN.

The hell you on about? I've seen SW Holiday Special more times than any sane man should, and I don't remember any mass killing of wookiees. In fact, I don't remember any point in the entire franchise where Chewie is the last one.

And yes, I have seen it. I watch it at least once a year to remind myself of how TV networks used to think sci-fi should be handled. To be honest, I thought the advertisements were more interesting as a sign of the era it was made in rather than the program itself.

ummm no the wookies weren't killed, you can see a couple of them in episodes 4-6

as for the special itself, it was horrible and will always be horrible. i saw it a couple times as a kid

Episode II was titled Attack of the Clones. No wookiees appeared in this film. Judgment Day was the subtitle of the second film in the Terminator franchise. Coincidentally, no wookiees appeared in this film either.

You have me genuinely confused as to what you're talking about.

I must have meant episode 3, as for the judgement day i call any second sequel movie judgement day, because i have yet to see a sequel that can match it. its a joke.
