so ive been kind of going out with this girl who i really like we had this bestfriends/dating borderline relationship for about 6 months until a few weeks ago when i was at her place we ended up making out and whatnot so we decided to give it a try on a bigger scale...
anyhow for reasons i wont state here (since they are personal information about her i am not in a position to share with random internet people no offance) she has a bit of commiting problems so we are technicly not dating...
now i dont really have a problem with it... the problem starts however when people ask me if we are a couple... i cant really say we are but i cant say we arent either...
understand this isnt some sort of "friends with benefits" thing i really love her and she (at least claims) to really love me...
so what would you say if you were in my place?

Commitment is made out of trust, it's a two way street. To get some you have to give some. Commit to her and show her your commitment, and she may give it back.

Is your question what to tell people if they ask if you are a couple? Just say "We are what we are; we don't worry so much about labels and such."

So it may mean you can't update your Facebook status as saying you are in a relationship. Who cares? You love her, she loves you. That's what matters. Give her the time and understanding she needs and go from there. As for others, don't worry about what they think.

Best of luck!

Tells you she loves you, unwilling for others to know?

Awkward. I haven't got any answers, other than the suggestion that she isn't as sure she loves you as she's saying.

For me Relationship is more than just simply saying "X is my Girlfriend". In fact, I prefer people not to know who I'm dating, I guess I learnt to be "low profile" the hard way a couple years back.

What I suggest is that you talk it to her, not in the "are we couples?" in the kind of way, but in terms of "how do you feel towards us?"

If people asked, I'd usually just laugh about it or just say "what do you think?" in a joking manner. (Of course, the girl also knew about this, and played along -- made things a bit fun I suppose)
