Well, there's this chick, but...
You just can't go being stealthy when obviously lacking support. It pains me to think about it. >.<
Don't forget Cy Girls!

Don't forget, a good chunk of Beyond Good & Evil has Jade being forced to be sneaky an avoid enemies.

Kate Archer, of the No One Lives Forever series. It was like Thief, but with guns. [/thread]
Will there be a part three? I liked the games.

My 2 cents for this topic.

There was Ayame, the playable female ninja character from the Tenchu [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenchu] games.

Back on the PS1, in the second Medal of Honor game, Underground, you played as Manon Batiste, French resistance fighter and OSS agent. It was an FPS but there were a couple missions you went around in disguise getting past German guards with forged documents and a silenced pistol.

Any RPG that lets you build a female rogue with actual stealth abilities.

Mass Effect 2 doesn't really have any stealth elements whatsoever, but the DLC character Kasumi has that great ninja attack where she disappears then reappears behind an enemy and clips him. She was one of my favourite squadmates for that reason, since it was like having a living smart bomb.

To be honest Cate Archer (yes Cate with a C) was only necessarily a stealth character in NOLF as there were no forced stealth levels in NOLF 2. Of course if you didn't play stealthily you missed the best parts of the game.

Faith from Mirror's Edge never really used stealth too much, but I think she would be an amazing stealth female due to her deadly disarms, which by the way happen automatically when you do them to an enemy's BACK. Convenient, huh?

Would the Boss count? Sure she wasn't the main character, but she taught Big Boss (and it was clear that she was much better than him in most every way even at her age), who in turn was pretty much better than Snake. There's a reason she was known as the mother of Special Forces.

Aren't all drag queens stealthy, in a way?

Oh. Uh...nevermind.

OT: Joanna Dark was the perfect female spy. And then everything after the original game was shit, so that was fucked. there was only ONE game only one.
Don't forget velvet dark!

The most common women of stealth in games would have to be in RPGs where the player can choose their sex. Other than that we are lacking in the female dept.

I miss agent dark.

Elder Scrolls and the Fallout series. Make your own stealth queen.
