Pretty much this, it got to a point where I just set firefox's homepage to steam and google chrome to Direct2Drive just so I could see their daily deals.
Even then steam rarely has anything newer on sale, they love to have cycles of the same stuff on sale for like a year and then pile it all together in the Christmas sale.

Well shit. I literally had to close Steam to convince myself to not pre-purchase Deus Ex right now so that I can afford to buy L.A. Noire tomorrow. If there's going to be a daily temptation from now on... As much as I love you, Valve, my wallet kind of hates you right now.
