...I'm a weak, weak man. [buys Poker Night to try and get a second point in the first segment] If I win, I'm so gonna come back to this thread and say so.

Oh ffs, this is just a cheap attempt at getting people to buy games they don't really wan- wait, Poker Night at the Inventory is on sale? *goes to buy*

Also, if you won, what exactly would one do with 100 free games? Unless you have more free time than you know what to do with, how would you be able to play even half of them?

Make a wish list and look at ugly mascots? Ok, they get some free data on what people want. This? Come on Valve. No thanks

Total spent so far: $1.75 (Shamus Young's recommendation of Chime carried some weight)
Total points so far: 2.
I'm hoping (of course!) that I'll get some free games. 5 would be wonderful, 100 would be dreams-come-true! But in the meantime... sales! Wonderful, wonderful sales!
I already had Poker Night, and Shamus's Chime recommendation sealed that.

So got 3 points now. Am not buying RUSE. Just don't care.

I didn't expect to participate in this, but I already have 2 points so as long as the challenges over the next couple weeks aren't all that tough(or are other things I've already done) I should have some new TF2 hats(or possibly some new games).

Steam are geniuses, achievements for BUYING games :D

I still don't really understand the allure of achievements, but they're actually turning a sale into a game, instead of just going 'looky here cheapie things, shiny, come buy', and for that I commend them.

I imagine I'll fairly easily hit 10 objectives, as I've already done two, and I'm off to buy Chime now :D (cos it's a bargain mainly, more than because it's a point, however).

Ooh just looked, Chime I really wanted then forgot about, damn, there's no way I'm not slapping down a lousy pound for that. All music games need more 'Still alive'!

Really, unless you desperately want the ultimate TF2 hat, I imagine spending about £10 will get you entrance into the main draw.

10 Bucks on a TF2 challenge sometime.

Also the R.U.S.E challenge is to boost their sales I think because IMO the game sucks. (But thats just me)
Also there is a TF2 challenge anyways, win 5/15/28 for hats.

I hope they pick games I have tommorow ;P

@Sleet, thats what steam was made for.

Edit: I hope theres a HUEG sale at the 21th - 26th :D

So you can only win the total if you have all the games.

I just looked i need the games to play GG i only have orange box
You only need 10 of 28 objectives to be in the draw to win the 100 free games and each objective completed gives you the chance to win five games on your wishlist.

My god man... A 100 games.. When on gods earth will you find time to play that many games??

And even if you have that time, there is not even a hundred games on steam that i want, 20-30 maybe.... But what would i do with the 70-80 games i had left? Buy x amount of TF2 copies??

I would actually be just as happy if i won 5 games compared to a 100.. Well, unless you dont have to buy all games at once and can save them up for the future..

But making me buy games i dont want just to get points in this competition is kinda dirty play..
Hopefully i will have most games already.. But no chance in hell if i will ever buy a game for 40 euro just to get a point...

Over the course of 7+ years. I own 160+ games and have played at least 110+ of them. The other 50+ or so came in packages which includes some quite old games i'll never be interested enough to play.

p.s. games i've played to completion...closer to 50+ after 7 years XD

If you have a pound and don't hate electronica, then try Chime, it's damned lovely, and it was worth all hundred pence for me just for a new track from Phil Hartnol, half of Orbital, has a very 'White album' feel to it. (Orbital, not the Beatles)

Now if only it could create levels based on your music folder like Beat Hazard (which I'm also loving), but the mechanics make that impossible I think.
