Steam is being real unstable for me

Anyone else been having issues with Steam the past couple of weeks?

I've been having issues with it losing connection. I'll be chatting with someone and suddenly it says I'm offline. It's done this a lot lately and it's getting very annoying. Usually I can just wait and it will reconnect me, but there's just no reason for it to disconnect me to begin with.

It was working fine for years but (as I said) the last couple of weeks have been rough. To top it all off NOTHING HAS CHANGED on my end. No new anti-virus or firewalls, nothing.

I asked my friends and a couple of them seem to be having issues but the rest have no idea what I'm talking about.

Any Steam users on here having this issue as well?

Hmm...funny you ask...
I've been having connection issues for some time...usually, it was because Hamachi (for those who don't know, it's a program that basically simulates LAN over internet) creates it's own subnet, even if you don't launch the program, and the said subnet stays on even after shutting Hamachi down. I guess some programs (like Steam or Firefox) sometimes might mistake it for the main internet network and try to connect through it...
But it's my theory, so it propably isn't worth sh*t.

I highly advise you reinstall steam completely (obviously don't delete your games or config files. . .I could help you with that), and if that doesn't work, talk to your ISP, it could be them.
