I noticed it started.....but....it's running out of steam for me.
Since T-day (and a bit before that) I have been monitoring steam each day, and have picked up pretty much every game I could possibly want (and a few I don't really want). I think the only games I paid 50% for were FTL and the 2 YS games. The rest I all got at 75% off.
So yeah, the Holiday sale so far is a bit underwhelming...not to mention there isn't much left for me to buy for myself. I might gift stuff.....if they have them at 75% or more discount, but so far the discounts are not as good as I have already seen in the past.
I guess Borderlands II at 50% off is pretty good if you don't have it yet though. I pre-ordered it sadly. If the DLC works for non-steam versions...and that goes on sale I might pick it up though.
Anyway after skimming through the available games so far, I have made no new purchases. I'll keep my eye out for a deal on something I might play though. Think there was a game called sequence I still wanted to get for instance...but not for less then 50% (since I could have gotten it at that price already).

I'm running into the issue where I now own most of the games I want that are currently on steam, so I'm not likely to go mad on the spending this time, ignoring the fact I did go mad on the gog.com sale yesterday

i'm praying the walking dead goes on a big sale, also spec ops too, i want both of those badly.

Spec Ops is £10 (~15$ or so?) right now. Well worth the price. I'll pick it up at full price, though. Way more worth it.gmaverick019 said:

I myself don't have many expectations. The Walking Dead and XCOM, I think. I'll see if there is anything else. Maybe Alpha Protocol and Kingdoms of Amalur (if it's really low price).
unfortunately me being the cheap bastard i am, i spent ~120 bucks on gifts in the past couple weeks for family/friends, and so i have little leftover at the moment. While it's not a bad price, i'm going to wait to see if it ever hits a daily/flash deal for 75% off, otherwise i'll get it January 4th at some point for 15 bucks.DoPo said:

Well, getting round to playing them at least. The Good Old Games sale has been going on for a while now, so I've got together a good backlog of games from that - Pandemonium, Myst, Inquisitor, Duke Nukem 3d, Fallout, Fallout 2 and Planescape: Torment - to keep me going.
I'm not sure what else I fancy getting from the Steam sale really. If I see anything on the cheap that I fancy I'll go for it, but I've got no real plans to buy anything else.

Which Prince of Persia is the best game? I'd like to try it out, but not going to buy the whole series. I enjoyed AC trilogy, but mostly due to its story. Is Prince of Persias storyline any good?

Prince of Persia is an iffy thing. Sands of Time is commonly seen as the best with the most recent one being the worst. Those are the only ones I've played so I can't offer much help beyond DON'T GET THE 2008 ONE, they sold the end as fucking DLC.Karoshi said:

Hmm there is nothing I want that I don't already have but I STRONGLY encourage everyone to buy Natural Selection 2 as it is awesome, in my opinion one of the best games to be released this year.

I simply had to get the THQ bundle. If all it had was Darksiders 1 & 2, I would have saved 5 bucks. But as is I got 22 games for 25 dollars, which is ludicrously cheap. Also, I've never played CoH, Supreme Commander, or DoW, so here's my chance.
I also learned a thing or two about transparency. Now that THQ started with the humble bundle and being straight with the public about their situation, I almost felt like $25 was cool just to help them out and invest in the future of Saints Row, Darksiders, and South Park. Yeah, a publisher. Show some humanity and down-to-earth-ness and it can go a long way. Off to play Darksiders 2, Metro 2033, and Saint's Row the Third!
