Hahahaha, say good-bye to endless hours of your life :D I don't play Civ V much, but when I do I start at like 12pm, and the next time I check the clock it's like 1 in the morning or something. I don't even understand the game that much, all I know is it sucks hours away from you. It's great :D

DAMN YOU STEAM! Steam already made me buy half a dozen other games in the past month, now do i need to buy this game too?! Damn you and you're amazing deals >_<

games bought in the last month from Steam:
-The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (deluxe)
-Bioshock
-Bioshock 2
-Fallout 3
-Terraria
-Universe Sandbox
-Worms Reloaded

but even all added up, it all still only cost me slightly less than what a single new game would cost, lol

I saw the deal and went "oh hell yes!", even though I've never played a Civ game.

Then I saw the Australian price and said "oh hell no!"

I might get Civ 4 soon instead.

Civ 2 was my game. I still like to fire up Civ 2 on antiquated laptops periodically. Civ V I really like because they got rid of the god awful stacks of doom-- i'm a builder by nature, and civ 4 was not geared towards my playstyle-- it was geared towards a nearly RTS style of build orders and min maxing. V feels much more organic. I'm looking forward to an expansion-- i havn't had time to play it much because i'm writing a thesis.

This happened to me three times in a row and now I'm poor >.>

Hell, one of the times it wasn't even on Steam. But by my reckoning the Fallout 3 GOTYE for £17 in prime condition is a pretty unresistable offer. And I do not regret it, not one bit.

That price is too expensive to put up with Steam and I love Civ I still have the first installed.

So anyone notice the guy isn't trying to talk about how good the game is, but the fact that steam charged him 3 dollars more then they said it would cost?

OT, im jelly, i bought civIV and loved the first half of the first game i played. But then the combat made me want to murder myself by freezing myself in a pool of my own tears. having said that, cultural victories are very satisfying and fun and people wont declare war when they are pleased. However problems with a definite lack of credit card render me unable to buy steam games at this point. curse you cruel fate that has led to me saving $17, curse you.

Damn you Valve and your evil plan to force us to play great game at absurdly low prices. You are the devil incarnate, you monster! *shakes fist in anger*

I got this game last year, and enjoyed it massively.
It got shelved for a good while, like so many other games do.

Until I learned about the Hot Seat feature that was patched in.

Mow I'm playing a Marathon length match with a friend, that has been going on for 4 full evenings (19:00 til 0:00) and we're only just getting musket men.

It's awesome and incredibly fun to just do turn based with a friend locally.

I can't play Civilization personally.

I start playing on a saturday morning for just a 'little game' and before I know it its dark outside. :/
