I managed to scrounge up enough for Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition - I already own the game but not all the expansions, the disk is a bit damaged, and I figured what the hell - but now I have no money left in my bank account or in Steam Wallet =( Steam Sales have an awful good AWFUL HABIT of starting right when I have the least amount of money. I wish they'd let one know in advance what week the sales are going to happen so I could prepare for it, but hey! they're the ones losing out on my money, so...

Seriously considered getting endless space, I also purchased Sins Rebellion forbidden worlds. How is endless space?
It harkens back to the 4X games of old, especially Masters of Orion. It's got an excellent UI and some rather interesting planet/species management, but the combat system is hit-or-miss (it's almost literally just a multi-stage rock-paper-scissors fight; looks relatively nice though) and the research trees are needlessly complicated while simultaneously being simpler than they appear at first glance.

It's really solid, and has gotten a great amount of post-release support from the developer. It is fully turn-based, so the pacing can become pretty glacial, but it's definitely worth it in my opinion. The Gold edition with the 'Disharmony' expansion is a much better value in my opinion, especially on the sale price. If it goes on a Flash sale again and you're a fan of 4X games, I'd definitely recommend it.

Tomb Raider, Far Cry 3 and Cities in Motion 2. I already own quite a few things, and the rest that was on sale looked pretty crap, to be honest.

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
RAGE The Scorchers DLC
Dead Island Riptide
Divinity Anthology
The Bard's Tale
Might and Magic Heroes VI - Pirates of the Savage Sea Adventure Pack
Might and Magic: Heroes VI - Danse Macabre Adventure Pack
Might and Magic Heroes VI - Shades of Darkness
System Shock 2
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2

Just this, which is very very reduced from my usual but there's really nothing on sale that I want in the deals anymore. Might purchase a few extras last day just making sure it's not going to be in any deal I guess.

Since I don't have a proper job I sorta didn't buy much at all. Just Dishonored and the Knife of Dunwall DLC. I wanted to buy a lot more, but yea... trying not to at the best of my ability.

I'm considering it then, thanks for the lengthy description. I watched TB's "WTF is?" of it a while back and it looked fun, but I just don't know if I'd like the turn based style. But we'll see, so far I'm prob going to only get a few more things.

FTL and Chivalry were good buys, if I get something else it's either going to be New Vegas:Ultimate Edition or Borderlands 2. I just wonder how much I'll keep playing borderlands 2 if I buy it. Also kinda pissed I missed it when it was 10 bucks cheaper. Does steam have like a.. sort of... end of sale bash thing? Where like they put a bunch of stuff on sale before closing it down?

According to steam I already owned 220 games on steam before the sale started. I basically went down the list of sales going "Own it, own it, own it, own it, crap, own it"

I spent $10 all together. The least Ive spent on steam during a sale.

Nothing for myself. I did buy Borderlands 2 for a friend though. Now we are shooting and looting all the way to the bank.

If you've got an XBox controller you're fine on that part. If you have any other kind of gamepad... well, I'm regretting buying the game becuase it won't recognize my Logitech gamepad at all
Only thing I have is a standard Dual Shock 2 connected via a USB adapter. Any idea if that will work?
I could not even begin to tell you, hoss. Sorry!

I had 2,79? on my account and then there was Alan Wake for 2,79. I saw it as a sign and bought the game
I like it.

That's everything so far.

Bully: Scholarship Edition (so far, so fun, though I did pass on GTA IV)
Mark of the Ninja (Awesome, awesome lil' game. Highly recommended)
Monaco (by endorsement courtesy Penny Arcade. Only played like 3-4 levels so far, though I get the impression that MP might be a total blast)
Batman: Arkham City GOTY (I enjoyed Arkham Asylum, so...)
Dead Space (only ever got like half an hour on a friends PS3, thought it might have potential to be really fun, so...)
GalCiv II Ultimate Edition (had the regular GalCivII, lost the disc, but since GalCiv is the only 4X game to rival Civ for me, I had to get it.)
LA Noire (word of mouth and critics made me do it. not played a minute of it yet. save it for the lean months)
Hotline: Miami (it was cheap and looked fun. not played yet)
The Testament of Sherlock Holmes (since "The Case of the Serrated Scalpel" and the "Rose Tattoo", I've been a bit of a Holmes Whore, so yeah...)
Total War: Shogun 2 (CA can do no wrong by me... except have ridiculous system requirements. Definitely bought that one for the laptop, which has more horsepower than the regular desktop pc)
Universe Sandbox (NERD ALERT! Seriously though, playing god for, like, 3 bucks? Duh!)

Many others I already got last Christmas sale, or otherwise (DX Human Revolution, Walking Dead), and others I painfully, deliberately passed on (Borderlands 2 for 10??), holding out for the big one... like CivV BNW for 60% off... please?

EDIT: ... and just now got EVE for 5 Euros. Pray for me, brothers and sisters...)

I got:

Cave Story+
XCOM: Enemy Unknown (plus the DLC)
Castle Crashers
Football Manager 2013
Surgeon Simulator 2013
Super Meat Boy
The Witcher
The WItcher 2
Poker Night at the Inventory 2
Max Payne 3
Organ Trail: Directors Cut
Kerbal Space Program
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Serious Sam 3: BFE
Evoland

as well as pre-purchasing Shadowrun Returns, and getting DOTA 2, but those don't really count.
I bought X-Com but I can't get it to work. It gets past the powered by Unreal screen and then I get a windows message that says "X-Com has stopped running." Any ideas? I already did the steam online help and I have a ticket in with them, but haven't heard anything yet.
