First was the Holiday Sale. Then came a specific Star Wars sale. Most things are on sale now. Stop complaining, you missed a sale. Keep an eye out for them.

I can agree with the OP to a degree. Getting upset over it though might be a little to far.

Here is the 2 best ways to deal with this:

If you must have the game now, you are going to have to pay the price they are asking, KNOWING that they will offer it at a lower price at some point in time. Yes, that does include a few days after you purchase it. It can sometimes suck but you are getting the game when you want.

Or (the way I deal with it now), I put the game on my wishlist, pick a price point I want the game to be at(with the included DLC) and wait. Steam takes a few months but has never disappointed me yet. You will have to wait a lot longer for newly released games but I normally have a few games in the queue to past the time.

To be honest, I have missed a few awesome sales, like a 75% off Dungeon Defenders with discounted DLC and have seen it on sale again for 50% off. So guess what? It is on my wishlist and I am going to wait for it to show back up on sale for 75% off because if they did it once, I guarantee you they will do it again. You have to be willing to wait for it. Out of the 100+ games I have on Steam, I have only paid full price on maybe 5% or less(rough guess).

Once you figured out Steams game, it can actually be kinda fun trying to find the best deals on games.

Not trying to flame or attack you OP. Just offering a suggestion to "beat" the system, if you will.

I'm not so much mad as disappointed about this deal. I am not an entitlist, I have ethics though, and it isn't ethical to put something on sale during a sale period then drop that sale price again during the same sale period. Ethics people.
And its not about the money, its about what I feel is deception, bait and switch. "Look here's a good price" then two days later "oh you dumbass now its lower!!"
No I don't feel companies have to have sales at all regarding the products they offer, but if they choose to do that I DO feel they should at least have some ethics about it.

EDIT: Also it wouldn't be a problem if this was something that I bought 6 months, 4 months, 2 months or 2 weeks ago... the fact was it wasn't even a week between the bait and switch. I'm not dropping Steam, but my respect for them dropped a little bit more.

Ow come on, if you know how the system works you can take advantage of it...especially by being patient and vigilant. If you didn't know....now you do. Right now I'm waiting for DA:O Ultimate Edition to drop below 10 euro's. It will happen eventually anyway. I've got the time. In the meantime I'll be playing my 3 euro Amnesia, 8 euro FO3: GOTY (all DLC) and 2 euro KOTOR.

Remember...they want your money. But you choose when to spend it.

Supergiant Games? Oh shit man, you can't play Bastion? That honestly, really, truly sucks. It's also on XBLA, Google Chrome & iOS I believe. Totally worth buying twice.
I have a 360 so I could always buy it there, but I rarely have much cash, so this being after Christmas plus it being on sale equaled me getting to play one of this year's releases that I've wanted to play the most. Plus, the Steam Christmas Achievement is a nice little bonus.

That sucks. Check the Steam forums on Bastion, I've had to troubleshoot a few games (recently Batman AA, Alpha Protocol and Payday) and they've always been a huge help. Only once have I had to start a thread, every other time the problem has been encountered and solved. In fact, if you have an Nvidia graphics card, PhysX is the first thing you should check. That was my issue with those three games I listed, that PhysX was too up to date. But that's a rant for another time.
Yep, I've been trying there to no avail. A few other people with my problem, so it's not an isolated incident. I'm going to try installing on the other computer in the house to see if it works. I had similar problems with Fallout 3 (Despite Fallout: New Vegas running fine on this computer) and it worked on the other computer.

Anyway, OT, by trading in this giveaway, I now have Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode 1. I didn't have to buy anything (Except a Humble Bundle, I was gifted the new one too), how can I be mad at a company that is literally giving games away for free?
