Nostalgia on DS. I didn't expect much but I actually enjoyed it. Fairly straight forward JRPG, nothing groundbreaking but all around entertaining.

Resonance of Fate. I loved this game and its setting. Took me about 72 hours to finish it. It is rather hard as well.

Damnation is meant to be a Steampunk game but I hear rumors its awful.

Worth mentioning that I am also a massive fan of steampunk shizzle but for me its not a phase as much as it is a lifestyle haha.

Currently writing a book based on an alternative steampunk setting. If it gets published I'll come back here when I get a game contract for it =P
If that's the case, at least remember to let us know when it's out :)

Penny arcade: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of darkness. Quirky, funny and steampunky, though somewhat lacking in gameplay aspects (turn-based RPG, not difficult to make). and they only made half of the episodes before the project was cancelled.

Arcanum [http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/arcanum_of_steamworks_and_magick_obscura] is a fantastic marriage of technology and magic in a Steampunk setting.
I love that game. Probably the most interesting setting in any RPG I've ever played.

there was this Prince-of-persia-ish steampuk platformer/hack n' slash, can't remember the name and it seems like it wasn't released yet.
If you remember the show Yahtzee and two other people I've never heard of were trying to make, that game was mentioned in the pilot episode.

anyoe can remember what it was?

I find it hard to believe no one has mentioned Syberia yet. I started playing it recently and was really sucked into the charming world.

Every Bioshock, and every Fallout.
Fallout? Steampunk?

Huh?
In the Fallout universe, the transistor was pretty much never invented. Most of the world was locked into a '50's state of mind, and yet some futuristic style tech (cars with nuclear reactors to power them, robots, lasers, plasma weapons, turrets) were invented. I think it's at least a bit steampunk.

Fallout is mostly postapo. It does have a few steampunk characteristics but can't really be called a steampunk game.

sounds interesting. you got a name? will want to check it out when it's published :)
Its nearly complete, just going through it and making changes here and there. Developing my characters more and making it more steampunky haha.

Yeah I got a name but its a secret!
Don't want people to steal it =P
Although I understand not wanting people to steal your ideas, is there any way you could maybe release a chapter? or just a summary of sorts? I'm intrigued.
Summary:

A young Vampire girl is found in the streets of a northern town and taken into an orphanage, as she gets older she shows an aptitude for alchemical magic and is taken into the college of alchemists just before a massive invasion takes place, the invaders are an army of crystal golems lead by an unknown force who seems hell bent on destroying the Imperial territories while hunting this girl to the ends of the earth.

Its all set in a world I made up, with Vampires as a race not an underground cult, Wolfmen (not werewolves, proper wolfmen) and some home made races put in. Its all based in steampunk settings so expect clockwork machine guns, steam powered battle mechs and a lot of magic.

My own magic system too which I pray isn't going to be a flop >_<

Erm,Fallout is a story that takes place after the world was fucking NUKED,it is not steampunk in any sense of the word,it's after the end and seriously, play Old World Blues then try to fucking tell me the game is steampunk.

Bioshock is pretty close to steampunk with a little bit of cybernetic influence, but then again it IS a spiritual successor to System Shock 2 so that's to be expected.

While we're at it, let's not forget Fable 2. Had a good blend of just about everything before Fable 3 forced me to raise millions of dollars.

Otherwise, since Steambot Chronicles for PS2 (and I think on PSP...?) was already mentioned, my next suggestion would be a far stretch to Tail Concerto for PS1. Although it feels more like the world of the anime "Castle in the Sky" than a steampunk game.

Why do people keep saying that Bioshock is steam-punk? It's not! Steam-punk would imply that everything was steam powered. That isn't the case, everything is powered by electricity generated by harnessing geothermal energy [http://bioshock.wikia.com/wiki/Hephaestus]. Just because it has a Victorian ascetic doesn't mean it's steam-punk.

Sounds really interesting. Keep us updated, I'll certainly pick it up.

The show was called Game Damage. Sadly, it was never picked up. The game in question is called "Edge of Twilight" and is still in development with no release date set.

I loved the pilot, it really is a shame it never did pick up. And yes, Edge of Twilight is the one I meant :) thanks a lot :) The game looks really promising, I hope it comes out soon.

I remembered a little game called Machinarium. Just about the most charming, heartwarming and beautiful gaming experience to be had. Loved every minute of it.
