Or download the WIP mod that greatly enhances the games, especially with the attention ranged weapons get. Disintegrate also has this tiny issue of destroying loot on humanoid enemies, and that loot can fund better staffs if you want more disintegration spam.kingcom said:The downside? Poor combat system, the way to counter that is to pick up a spell called disintegrate and never have to worry about anything...except armies of dwarves. Damn magic resistance.Weilyn said:I must play that game. The Madman said:![]()
Oh hey, is that a badass Dwarf with a flamethrower? Why yes, yes it is. Games called Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura. Very solid rpg put out by the late great Troika games, in which you played as pretty much anything you wanted in a steampunk era fantasy setting complete with clockwork robots, fireball hurling wizards with shotguns, orcs flying tri-planes to shoot down blimps (That's the intro!), knights in full armour and a brace of pistols, and you're flamethrower wielding Dwarves among other games. It's also as far as I know the only game aside from Fallout 2 where you can become a prostitute... With a flamethrower! Anyway pointless detail for you, but there you go.
So damned awesome.
I have no options. I MUST play it.
Dream on pal, dream on. As awesome as the idea is I don't think that there is one in existence.Flames66 said:I want a Steampunk sandbox. I'm afraid SR2 is not.MercurySteam said:Bioshock games are FPS/RPGs and nothing elese. If you want a sandbox then play Saints Row 2.
Man, a Steampunk Sandbox is just something the gaming industry isn't ready for, it's too innovative and far too awesome. Plus, most would see Fable 2 and Bioshock Infinite as Steampunk, if you threw something like a sandbox version of Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura at them, they'd say it's not being done right.MercurySteam said:Dream on pal, dream on. Yes it is, but it's best to have it patched to the 1.0.74 version and going to www.terra-arcanum.com/downloads and opting for either the UAP (Unofficial Arcanum Patch) or rroyo's WIP 6.0, which adds quite a lot to the game, as well as having numerous hacks already compiled, like the ranged hack that tweaks and overall improves guns. The blade launcher in vanilla is 20-60 damage, but eats up 6 bullets per shot, under the WI it's 30-70 damage and only costing 4 bullets per shot, a rather impressive improvement.gostlyfantom said:I agree, a steampunk sandbox would be pretty badass.
also is arcanum of steamworks and magick obscura as good as i keep hearing?
