COD 4,5 & 6 are all $100 at most retailers in Australia, I seriously do not know what most of you Americans are complaining about... Activision Games don't go down in price. Everything else gets down to $60-$80 after 2 years, another 8 and we are talking about $20, 20+ and then we reach $10.....
god damn our country sucks

So, my money goes to Cadbury, because I like their chocolate.

Calumon: But I like Greggs! : (
So do I Calumon, especially the sausage and bean melts, but Cadbury's were bought out a while back [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8467007.stm], remember?
Am I bothered? No. Chocolate still tastes nice. If I want to do something British, I'll have some PG Tips. Everyone loves Monkey and Johnny Vegas.

Calumon: I like the Sausage rolls. :p
I don't. In fact I#m one of the few British people who doesn't even like tea.

Also, Greggs is nice. Gotta love the Ham and Cheese melt, but Warrens make better pasties.

Steam is the only way to buy stuff cheap, kind of sucks because my Internet can't handle large downloads that are 10-12 gigs

No one wants to pay 30 USD for a two year old game!
*Cough* Australia *Cough*. Not that rare to see pre-owned, 2 year old games for $80+ nowadays.
Anyway, I can agree. I tried Black Ops, found it enjoyable, but it's totally not worth the suspiciously Aussie-enhanced price (grabbed BC2 cheap instead). If it went on sale, I might grab it, but I'm just not willing to throw my money down in support of that (yes, I consider buying a game a form of supporting its owners).

On the other topic, I've bought about 22 games so far from the Steam sale, and expect more. Half of which I've gifted, but I still paid for them. Shame I gave up waiting for a sale a few days ago and paid full price for some gifts...oh well. I expect more will come up worth buying for the discounts; Steam puts on a hell of a sale.

On a side note: Indie Packs are great.

Well... No. They don't even do that, they're just really good at marketing their games to an audience who doesn't know any better.

Yeah. As a fan of CoD, going on Steam and seeing nothing in terms of CoD sales had me quite dissapointed, even though I own all of the game.

Seriously, Activision? Seriously?

The audience that doesn't know any better, yet keeps buying game after game?

I was a bit annoyed, because I wanted Call of Duty 4 again (my brother had it but he lost it) because in my opinion, the single player was better than any of the other games in the series.

Well yeah, they do. Or at least the developers they own do.
Call of Duty's recent four games have been (Bar MW2's MP) in my opinion very good. Prototype is also fun. The Spider-man series they published back in the PS2 days were also very fun.

And I highly doubt that the, what, hundreds of millions of people who bought Black Ops ALL don't know any better. Some, sure, just buy it because it's CoD. A fair few, myself included, bought it because, I dunno, it seemed like a great game. Turned out to be an absolutely amazing game.

My point is, however great these games are, I little part of me hates buying them because it's fuelling the Activision war machine.

Part of the problem is that the sales are at ridiculous levels of stupid for a company completely undeserving of such success. I have avoided CoD like the plague, mostly for Activision, but partly because I don't enjoy the 'realistic' FPS's. I prefer to give my money to more deserving companies.

Yes, I could be missing out on some great gaming experiences, but at the same time, those CoD fanatics who buy the same game every year and play the shit out of it all year long are also missing out on some great gaming experiences.

Doesn't bother me too much, since there's no Activision products I'm interested in at the moment.

I'm not that interested in any Activision games, except maybe CoD 1 and 2.

But this does suck for those that were. I think it's because they think, "Hey. The guy who bought CoD 1 and 2 for $5 is a guy that didn't buy Black Ops for $60!" Which obviously isn't true, because I bought blops but I would never spend $20 each on CoD 1 and 2.

It's Activision, that's what they do. That's why they're considered "the bad guy" of publishers now. An image that they don't seem to keen of fixing. I think they actually revel in it.

Still, pull out the piece of coal that's been shoved up your ass Activision and join the holiday spirit.

Not to mention Activision's PC library is pathetic, all things considered.

Edit: On Steam of course, I'm not referring to Blizzard.
