Activision Games don't go down in price. Everything else gets down to $60-$80 after 2 years, another 8 and we are talking about $20, 20+ and then we reach $10.....

*Cough* Australia *Cough*. Not that rare to see pre-owned, 2 year old games for $80+ nowadays.William Wallace said:No one wants to pay 30 USD for a two year old game!
Well... No. They don't even do that, they're just really good at marketing their games to an audience who doesn't know any better.Captain Pirate said:They make really good games.
The audience that doesn't know any better, yet keeps buying game after game?Shinrae said:Well... No. They don't even do that, they're just really good at marketing their games to an audience who doesn't know any better.Captain Pirate said:They make really good games.
Well yeah, they do. Or at least the developers they own do.Shinrae said:Well... No. They don't even do that, they're just really good at marketing their games to an audience who doesn't know any better.
Part of the problem is that the sales are at ridiculous levels of stupid for a company completely undeserving of such success. I have avoided CoD like the plague, mostly for Activision, but partly because I don't enjoy the 'realistic' FPS's. I prefer to give my money to more deserving companies.Captain Pirate said:And I highly doubt that the, what, hundreds of millions of people who bought Black Ops ALL don't know any better. Some, sure, just buy it because it's CoD. A fair few, myself included, bought it because, I dunno, it seemed like a great game. Turned out to be an absolutely amazing game.
My point is, however great these games are, I little part of me hates buying them because it's fuelling the Activision war machine.
