Does that mean they purposely break the bones of sheep?

....Now I have this image of a sheep screaming 'NO!' in my mind. Beware the sheep.

Stop telling us about the abilities of stem cells if you're not going to actually make it a common practice. :|

So this kind of research is being done with the non-controversial Adult Stem Cells, not the Embryonic Stem Cells that people complain when there's not funding for it, correct?

Researchers at the University of Georgia Regenerative Bioscience Center have developed a "bone putty" of stem cells that when injected near a fractured bone, greatly increases healing time.
Now im no medic, but isnt a great increase in healing time a bad thing?
why is that a bad thing do are they not strong when fast?

All the religious people that are against this. I'm fine with that. Less wait time for me when I break my ass.

Just wait till the day though when science is able to create Medic's gun.

I'm gonna have nightmares about that image. Thanks.
And when you wake up screaming, you can get back to sleep by... COUNTING SHEEP!!!

OT: Why is it that article after article, study after study proves just how effective stem cell research is and/or could be but people STILL try to stop it.

I don't care what they get the medical and scientific advances from, there is no excuse whatsoever to stop progress in any way, shape, or form.

Agreed, bring back lawn darts!!! I grew up with them and still have both my eyes, nothing wrong with 3lb. darts you throw straight up :)
My dad used to share that same sentiment, until he took a lawn dart in his forehead.

No seriously he did when he was four! His older brother threw it at him and it nicked the skull itself.XD

I admit I'm no biologist/doctor, but from what I've managed to gather over the years, stem cells are potentially a panacea for all problems stemming (lol) from physical damage to the body, since they can regrow pretty much anything. Even a severed spine should be repairable with them...

Would said serial killer cow also be able to rapidly regenerate any wounds? Let's get on this, people...

Good, because the plots of horror movies have been tame the last few months. We need a movie about a cow that goes berserk after being injected with the adult stem cells of a serial killer. (That idea is already copyrighted, Hollywood, you can't steal it.)
Yea.
The man eating cow. That was a character from the Tick comics.

OT-
Always getting happier that I had my son's stem cells (umbilical cord tissue&blood) frozen. This is some science fiction type shit they're going to be able to do with it on top of all the stuff they can do now.
