East Coast is made of mobsters, Irishmen and wisecracking taxi drivers. Everyone's either a crook, a tough cop or a sly, untrusting and hardened sort of chap- The East Coast is probably the most diverse of any area in the US. (most taxi drivers don't talk too much)
The South is incredibly traditional, homely, still has a bit of a racism problem and a few won't admit that the Confeds. lost the Civil War.
Some of the south still has a thing about the Civil War. Some don't.
The Deep South are all related to each other, live in shacks and play banjos REALLY fast.
Again you have to look really hard to find people like this.
The South West are a bunch of gun-totting bigoted cowboys and oil tycoons
Not true at all. Maybe some oil tycoons...
The West Coast are surfers, fluffy-minded celebrities, fringe cultures and the stupidly rich
There definitely is people like this, but the West coast, like the East coast, is very diverse.

My grandparents live in Peru! Actually, about half my family lives either in Peru or LaSalle. We always go there for holidays. I'm from Bloomington myself.
Small world! If you haven't, you should totally eat at The Igloo restaurant in Peru. Best pork tenderloins, taco salads, and fries in the known universe!
I love The Igloo, but I haven't been there in years. It's a little bit too casual for a Thanksgiving meal so we typically end up going to the Maples.

Well, I live in the deep south (south Georgia, which is about as deep south as you can get) and I have never even seen an actual banjo, live in a 2,700 square foot ranch style house, and I barely even know any of my relatives that aren't from Germany.

Wow. I'm sorry, but they have our country down perfectly. We don't really have any stereotypes about different parts of Britain (that I know of), we just basically lump it all together. This is erroneous, I know.
Not quite, Birmingham is full of immigrants and Brummies, London is full of snobs and the mafia, Scotland is full of soldiers and ginger people, Somerset is full of farmers, Yorkshire is full of steam trains, Liverpool is full of thieves.....

The list goes on, and almost all of them aren't true (There are a LOT of Scottish people in the armed forces...)
Really? Huh. Learn something every day, I guess.

I'm from Wyoming, no that's not in Texas, you'd be suprised how many people thinks it's in Texas. For the people that are aware Wyoming exists, about 3/4 of think we still ride around on horses and we still have yet to discover electricity. Once I tried to convince some one that we do in fact have electricity. He didn't believe me.
