Look hard enough and I'm sure you can find most stereotypes that have been named.

Like, http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b185/HaikenEdge/Motivation/blondes.jpg
Take a look at Paris Hilton and loads of other girls with blond hair. Specially those who enter beauty contests.

Most of them are complete idiots because it looks like they skipped the entire school.

Not being offensive or anything but England has the highest underage drinking in Europe. While alcoholism is a problem in Ireland it's a problem everywhere. People in Ireland are more inclined to drink but less inclined to get pissed then a lot of people think. Also in Family Guy they have references to people beating there wives in Ireland. I don't know where the hell they got that but it's definately not true.
So pretty much what you're saying is that no one ever beats their wife in Ireland? Stop getting offended so easily, they're goofing on the stereotype, not on the actual people that comprise that group.

I'm Italian, I don't get offended by the thousands of stereotypical portrayals of my people in fiction, I just laugh at them, recognizing how ridiculous they are.

OT: Furries want to have sex with real animals. Wrong, that's "bestiality", not "furry". Big difference.
Again, that's a group plagued by the problem of a vocal minority. There are so many stereotypes about furries it's not even funny anymore, and none of them are true.
I can go on all day about how so many of those stereotypes are wrong... but hey, considering the press the Furry Conventions are getting (and people realizing it's relatively normal people, occasionally in costume), I'd say that the (/btard) peanut gallery is losing it's potency...

I figured I'd put a few positive stereotypes... and these (at least from what I've seen) are true. To keep it semi-on-topic, I'll throw in one false one (again, according to my knowledge) and see which one people think is a lie.

-Asians win at glow-sticking.
-British folk tend to like Dr. Who.
-Gay guys are much more likely to give you a hug than straight guys.
-Potheads are more relaxed than most everyone else.
-Skaters tend to have more interesting stories to tell.

I'm young and we are NOT the worst drivers, nor the most likely to cause accidents, those statistics are bullshit.

If you're 18, and in college, you treat your car like a fucking GOD because there is no way in hell you can afford to buy another car + insurance in England.

No stereotype is wrong. All of them have basis. The only time it's wrong is when you make the assumption that every member of that particular group fits the stereotype.

For example, I live in Georgia. I do not hunt, fish, eat jerky, enjoy NASCAR, or have intimate relationships with my sister. But I'd be a complete liar if I said that there aren't Southerners who do all of those things. Except the incest. That's completely ridiculous. The same goes for Irish, Scots, Jews, video gamers, teenagers, fat people, white people, black people, Hispanics, every thing else.

Quit crying about how "OMG GAMERS AREN'T FAT, SWEATY NERDS" because there are plenty of fat and sweaty nerds.

That all Teenagers are idiots. That all gamers are obese. That video games can corrupt children. The list goes on.

Aren't all stereotypes wrong? I thought that's why they were stereotypes.
No stereotype is completely wrong, there will always be a few people who fit into it.

As far as I can tell most Stereotypes about the French are untrue... or apply purely to Parisians. In fact, 2 weeks in France and I met one rude French person, however he was a public transit worker and that may have had something to do with it.

Here's a bad stereotype about the BRITISH and it's NOT the usual one...

...my problem is there seems to be a view that there seems to be a BRITISH accent but there are plenty of different accents across the whole nation, as small as it is compared to the US who also have a lot with many being completely to opposite of what is considered a "British accent".

I blame this view on London centric views by the media AND news (even British news focuses to much on the south east region where London is) leading to the portrayal of either posh or cockney being the basis.

Another stereotype is gay men being camp, which has led me to start calling camp things camp or something else instead of gay for example that shirt look camp or effeminate.

I don't know where in Ireland you're from. In Cork we like a good drink (don't live there anymore, I'm well aware my profile says UK).

Stereotype #1
"When you're religious you are an idiot how can't think for himself." Wich is a lie because NO ONE can think for themselves.

Stereotype #2
"When you're autistic you act as if you're lobotomized." Wich is only true if an autistic person IS lobotomized.

WHO THE FUCK'S BEEN SPREADING AROUND THE BONNY DAFT IDEA THAT SCOTS GET ANGRY EASILY?

Heheh, reminds me of that one Simpsons episode:

Groundskeeper Willie: It won't last. Brothers and sisters are natural enemies! Like Englishmen and Scots! Or Welshmen and Scots! Or Japanese and Scots! Or Scots and other Scots! Damn Scots! They ruined Scotland!

Principal Skinner: You Scots sure are a contentious people.

Willie: You just made an enemy for life!
That reminded me of my favorite Willie/Skinner moment.

Skinner walks into the school. Willie is sharpening a knife.

Skinner: Willie, you heard about the budget cuts, right?

Willie: Oh, there'll be many a cut this year.
