Is it so hard to think I watch wrestling because it's interesting and entertaining, without playing host to the misconception that I watch it to crack one off over men in pants grappling each other? I mean, have you SEEN the vast majority of wrestlers? They're ugly fucks, they really are. There's only ONE attractive wrestler in the entire WWE for god sake.
The vast majority are, but from what I've seen the most popular and frequently featured (Cena, Orton, The Mizz) tend to be the most conventionally attractive. It's hard for me to consider the entertainment factor because I just don't see the appeal, the story lines seem a bit too soap-y for my tastes.

ASD is my biggest gripe, the number of job opportunities I've lost out on because of something the manager read in a tabloid is depressing.

Why so defensive?

Lol j/k

Mine is assuming that all girls are sluts and that everyone can get a b.j. or one night stand(overhearing too many drunk guys at a university pub).

Ermmm let's see.

Because I'm shorter than people that are 6 feet tall I'm called a midget, but I'm not under 5 feet(although being a midget isn't bad)...but is that really a stereotype? I don't think so...I can't think of anything really. I fit any other stereotypes that people make about the sub cultures I'm in.

I'm Irish. I do drink (not that often, but when I do it tends to be in rather large quantities), but I'm not an alcoholic. I'm not Catholic either. And no, girls who have seen PS. I Love You, not all Irish guys are happy-go-lucky guitar players (although I am. I'm more of a sterotype than I thought. Shit.) And not all of us are all lovely and cute and nice. I hate you, if you think I must be all warm and fuzzy inside, because believe it or not, Irish people have moods too.

I'm emo because I listen to Death Metal and wear black.

And I'm a failure and disappointment to everyone I know because I smarter than the average kid my age and I don't take advantage of it.

Though, that last one is probably true.

Quite a few really.

Geek-I have glasses, that means im pathetic and spend my days in the basement. I also am very good at video games. That last part was sorta true.

Nerd-Yet again I have glasses and get high grades. That means I know EVERYTHING.

Pushover-Im really nice to people I don't really know that much. That means that it's easy to take advantge of me and get away with it! No, its not, you will most likely get a brick thrown at you by a unknown individual if you try that.

Hippe-Just because I have long hair dosn't mean im a hippe.

Sad-Im sad or look sad most of the time. That dosn't mean that I cut myself and attempt suicide all the time!

Cena and Orton are total mingers. The Miz is slightly better, but still not exactly attractive. Only attractive guy on the roster is Justin Gabriel.

and yeah, the story lines can be kind of overblown and "soap-y" as you put it. also when you've watched it as closely as I have, they start to become very predictable and even irritating in the way they're written and booked.

More than anything else: The nerd stereotype. You'd think that after all this time, people would just get over it, but almost every day there's someone who makes fun of my more nerdy activities. I mean, I'm' in high school, but honestly I thought that got played out int he 90's.

I'm a mechanic.

Apparently I'm supposed to be either watching sports, going to strip clubs, or getting drunk all the time. I'd much rather play Minecraft or Unreal Tournament while downing chips and a Pepsi.

Most genres become pretty damn predictable when you watch them repeatedly. I've gotten pretty good at predicting who-done-it crime dramas. Whenever a side character gets unnecessary lines or screen time it send off big red flags in my head. Ditto for personality quirks.

"Oh my gosh, look at that guy! He's incredibley attractive, he must be amazing at life!"
"Oh my gosh, he's so smart too! He must be the coolest person evar!"
"Ohemgee, he has the most profound and astounding skills, talent, and personality I have ever encountered in my entire life! He must be great in bed, too!"

I mean really folks. Of course it's all true, but judging people? Poor taste. I am disappoint.

It aggravates me beyond belief when I'm treated like an idiot because of my hair color.
You do have GIR as your profile picture...... its not helping.

Anyway, my turn to complain!!
One i've gotten a lot from girls is "white guy, he goes down."
I mean, its a minor complaint but its kinda aggravating going into that situation with that expectations to meet.
Have no complaints doin it, its just annoying.

Hate #2: The Actor Stereotype: Again, I am not gay, I do not constantly seek attention, I am not going to bore you with a load of theatric jargon you don't care about, and I will not break out into verse of song anywhere and everywhere just because you fucking ask me too!
Amen to that friend. I grew up in a hick town in rural Louisiana, so all through high school I got "He wants to be an actor. That means he's a queer!" Then I'd laugh because these would usually be guys covered in camouflage, wearing work boots and baseball caps and chewing tobacco, i.e. the living embodiment of a redneck sterotype. Which brings me to my main one:

Yes, I am from the South. Yes, I speak like I've had a good education, and I went to college. No, I don't have an accent. No, it is not like the movie Deliverance. We don't live in shacks in the swamp, we don't have pet alligators. We're not missing all our teeth, and we don't bone our close relatives. We are exactly like you, except where we live there are (usually) less skyscrapers, and more trees.

Owning a horse just because I live in Corrales.[footnote]That's Corrales, the small village outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico[/footnote] Not ALL of us own horses. Only most of us.

Also, any stereotype related to being a twin/triplet. Yes, I know I look nothing like my brother. I OBVIOUSLY must be lying about being related.
Hehe, I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico :D

Anyways, I really dislike the "creepy" steryotype, as well as the "ignorant American" and "Christian" steryotypes that have been mentioned previously here.

Out of curiosity, how much of that do you get on this site? A fair bit would be my guess, but considering you're kinda-sorta-new here, you might have lucked out so far.

Actually, not so much HERE, probably because I'm not a very active forumite and I steer well clear of religion/politics topics. But in the outside world...

Among my friends and acquaintances, there are a number with some very negative views towards religion in general and Christianity in particular, and I try to be a balancing voice and an example of a Christian who isn't all about Bible-thumping and baby-eating.

Of course, a lot of them feel that way because of the rather poor behavior displayed by certain... folks who claim to be Christian. Lookin' at YOU, Westboro. Yeah, I got a personal bone with you guys (in addition to just not liking you 'cause you're jerks.) It seems like every time I get someone to make the teeniest little concession that maybe not all Christians are intolerant pricks, you guys do some other stupid thing and reinforce all their negative stereotypes and I have to start all over again.
