According to my Local News Channel. They say that Steve Jobs Passed away only a few minutes before this post. Can anyone find an internet source to confirm or disprove this?

As you all know, Steve Jobs was the CEO of Apple Corporation. The Possibility of his death leaves me wondering what will happen to Apple as a whole.

Edit: Thanks for the help guys. http://www.apple.com/stevejobs/ Apple itself has confirmed that Steve Jobs has indeed Passed away. It is a sad day for all Apple Users.

RIP Steve Jobs.

UPDATE: To make matters far, far worse. The detested Westboro Baptist Church has announced that they will be Picketting Steve Jobs' Funeral. This crosses a sacred line for me. You never, NEVER, insult or desecrate a man on the same day that he died.

Yeah, it's true, it's right here on Gizmodo. Honestly can't say I'm that broken up by it. I've never been a fan of Apple products and even less a fan of the man himself.

Indeed, it is sad, despite the apple haters, he was a key player in developing the personal computer.

I don't like apple, but it's never a good thing when someone dies.

He's done a lot with apple, and I'm very positive that A LOT of people will miss him.

Even though I'm a PC user and own no Apple products, it still saddens me to hear that he passed away. He had a very important place in the history of technology, and I always held an amount of respect to him for it.

As I've said elsewhere, I've never been an Apple fan, but his impact (along with Wozniak's) on the computer industry can't be denied. RIP, Steve.

I just found out myself. Even if you aren't an Apple fanboy or a Mac user (PC person here), but Steve Jobs really did have quite an impact on our modern life more so than a lot of others. I mean with the IPod to the IPad, many if these things many of us have an have to thank Steve for helping to develop. Saying that he had no influence on contemporary life would be considerably false. It is sad to see that he has passed, but I have seen that his health was failing. Rest in peace Mr. Jobs, you will be missed.

Yeah, many other people passed away too. Just because he is famous doesn't mean I should care for him more than anyone else.
