But he's so young. It's like...damn...like MJ dying in 2009, except for computers.
Never saw that coming.
Ehm...noAwexsome said:People... We're talking about someone who's death we're alive for personally who will be mentioned in history textbooks thousand of years from now. It's not about how tragic or not tragic just one certain death is it's about the death of a legacy.
One that has impacted history greater than almost any other in the digital age.

Okay, I am being a little over-dramatic however he was a revolutionary. Most of the things were thought of by him. They were perfected again and again by him. Others could have done it, however who knows. It could have taken years longer.
OT: I personally don't really care. He's like everyone else but he's rich and has fanboys. He's like the 108 other people that died while I was typing this. But he owns a mansion so I guess he's better right?
Google Jef Raskin he had way more to do with that than Steve.
Sure it can. If they deserve any. Jobs was a dick in life, and so he doesn't.Greatjusticeman said:You don't have to bawl your eyes out over a death like this, but a little empathy and respect can be shown to anyone.
We're never going to progress as a people if we just disregard deaths like these just so we can show that we have a ruthless, dominant sort of ego personality. All you're doing by acting like this is hurting/and or offending more people then anything positive.
Which is why this world would be better of if there weren't as many who thought like you. If you don't have anything positive to say about someone dying, then just keep your mouth closed and move along. Nobody is making you do it, and nobody is asking for your disrespectful opinion.
RIP, Steve Jobs.

No, but I would put him up there with one of Jobs' own personal heroes and one of the greatest inventor/entrepreneurs of the 20th Century, Edwin Land. The parallels between Land and Jobs are pretty amazing, with both being asked to leave the companies they founded. Of course Land wasn't invited back to Polaroid like Jobs was to Apple.NightHawk21 said:Sad, but I don't know if I'ld put him on par with Thomas Edison like some of the articles are saying.
eh, edison was an ass- as any nerd worth his salt would tell you. but lets not open up that can of worms.Zachary Amaranth said:He also helped make MP3 players a household item.
