What? Steve Jobs was with Pixar too?the spud said:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What will happen to Pixar!?! Why!?!
I'll miss you. Thanks for all you've done for the industry. We are all in your debt.
I think he was the lead producer for "Toy Story" and was Pixar's majority shareholder until Disney bought them out. He was truly a god amongst men.NinjaDeathSlap said:What? Steve Jobs was with Pixar too?the spud said:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What will happen to Pixar!?! Why!?!

Expanding on what the last two people said, Steve Jobs co-founded modern-day Pixar Studios when he acquired the "Graphics Group" subdivision from Lucasfilm in 1986.NinjaDeathSlap said:What? Steve Jobs was with Pixar too?the spud said:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What will happen to Pixar!?! Why!?!

Expect many more followed by a "What's the hype" thread.New Frontiersman said:Hm, that's sad to hear. I wasn't expecting that. My condolences to his family and friends.
Also I'm pretty sure there's already a thread on this.
Pixar is the most stable of all the things he had a hand in. I think he sold his principle stake in it awhile back and was simply a member of the board. As long as John Lassetar is still around Pixar will remain unchanged.NinjaDeathSlap said:What? Steve Jobs was with Pixar too?the spud said:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What will happen to Pixar!?! Why!?!

Though Steve Jobs was one of the main founders of Pixar as we know it today, he had basically nothing to do with its day-to-day operations. Pixar has been completely in the hands of John Lasseter and the likes for several years now--especially since their new deal with Disney. It will be a great emotional loss, but Pixar will continue to function the same way they always have.the spud said:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! What will happen to Pixar!?! Why!?!
