Some of our windows are still covered in plastic from the winter, so they either get trapped inbetween the inside of the window and the plastic, or they never get in at all. We have had a couple though...particularly in the bathroom *shudder* I hate that...sitting on the throne and then you hear that annoying buzz near you, your body exposed and pants around your ankles...no escape.

Actually, the worst things we have so far to my knowledge are False Black widow spiders(Steatoda). I think there are 6 different kinds in the UK and a few of them are native...And they are spreading every year. There already confirmed reports of Steatoda nobilis in my county Buckinghamshire.

...They don't kill...Often.

And once again, I am reminded why winter is a good thing.

Except that it's the end of fucking April and still snowing and below zero.

I had a june bug (or something, don't know what, but it was a couple inches long) land on me once and I freaked the fuck out. It took a few minutes to get it off my leg and all I could do was scream and writhe and scrape my leg along a fence trying to get it off as it slowly cralwed up my leg. It finally flew away, but christ, I was terrified.

... I don't handle bugs well. Manitoba spiders don't get that big and I don't generally mind them... I'll scoot them into a container to take outside usually, as long as it doesn't touch me or come within a few inches of me.

Moths creep me out. Really, really creep me out. Even the little ones.

... Look up Winnipeg and Mosquitoes, though. So much fun.

Go visit the Greek islands.

They have those little chappies on Crete... and they eat them!

LIVE!

I thought it was a joke until I saw a guy walk up to a tree, grab one and munch it like it wasn't no thing.
Frigging live!

I fortunately haven't seen any yet but I'm dreading their continued assaulst on my home. The damn things absolutely terrify me.
And they have this horrible tendency to only make themselves know when I'm on the toilet or taking a shower. When that happens I'm powerless and scared cuz I'm exposed.

I hope the bastards go extinct.

Then again I have some sort of bug phobia and the above applies to most insects and arachnids.

WHY WOULD SOMEONE EVEN DO THAT?
I really really hate insects. Entomophobia, I believe is the correct name. I thought you meant the other kind of bugs. Guess it's nightmares tonight ;D

Nasty vindictive angry wasps :D and big fat happy bees.

And the odd venomous spider that comes over on some bananas.

Wildlife here in the UK is far too safe, we need to reintroduce the brown bear to keep the reintroduced wolves and beavers company...

I don't mind them. I think it's because I actually make an effort to keep where I live clean. I also don't mind them and I've never had a problem with the smell. I think the bugs are pretty cool if not anything else.

Stink Bugs
Stiiiiiiiiiink Buuuuuuuuuugs

I hate these fucks
having my bedroom in the garden is really a pain in the ass when spring/summer comes around, especially in rainy days, where the fucking things migrate into my bedroom Lemmings style
they're the reason I have spiders in my room, they eat the damn stinkbugs and they don't fart out that nasty-ass smell chemically engineered by Abaddon himself

I don't think I've ever encountered a stink bug (I'm in the UK). There's a really weird smell that certain beetles emit around here, but only me and one of my friends has ever taken notice of it.

As for other bugs, I have seen very few this year so far since it hasn't really warmed up yet. Even when insects and arachnids venture into my house, I just capture them and let them go. I feel quite guilty if I kill anything, so I'll always let them go.

I really don't have to deal with them in NC till around September October when the days get shorter and they try and stay warm. My apartment manager doesn't really care that they're able to get inside because they don't carry germs like roaches or do property damage like termites. So I took it upon my self to tape up my windows and round my mounted AC unit.

These traps seem to be hit or miss but I caught a shit load with one

I'm positive the Bradford Pear Tree right outside my window is infested with their eggs. Wish I could burn it down, to hell with the birds living in it.

Fuck those things. I have only ever seen them a few times, but they smell terrible. Fun fact: Their norwegian name is Berryfarts because they are often found in berry shrubbery I guess. I know a person who accidentally ate one once. Says it's the worst thing he's ever tasted.
