since when did elvis shove abstinence down our throats? since when did a movie tell us to revert to an old way of thinking? since when did our culture turn from culture to preaching about how it better when we could abuse women however we want when we want? you are comparing positive progress to negative progress.
Well, a lot has changed in our society, maybe from the current point of view your 'negative' progress would be positive?

Hypothetical, not my actual opinion.

When sane people say they want to kill someone, they never actually mean it. Maybe if they came face to face with Bieber, they would tell him what a shit pop star he is but that's the worst really.

Me on the other hand, I want to punch him in his stupid face for writing popular shit.
that would imply justin bieber writes his own songs, you give him too much credit.
he clearly just sings songs given to him by music producers and doesnt know any better as hes about 12
Oh shit your right! I can't really blame him about those lame lyrics.

Also, somehow I know he is 16 mate, he should know better.

With that sentense you managed to shoot your topic right into the eyesocket. If you cant formulate your opinion clearly, refrain from voicing it and read up on rhetoric.
All I read was "Blah blah elitist blah"

Okay sorry that sounded/was trollish, but your post does reek of arrogance a bit.. I am not allowed to voice my opinion because I am not a perfect eloquent speaker? (or in this case, writer)

why do people hate twilight? why do people hate the jonas brothers? because of the things they do to our culture. twilight is basically reversing the female role to a housewife and the jonas brothers are shoving abstinence down people's throats. this kind of trash is destroying what little culture we have and changing our society in a negative way.
The irony in this is that our very culture comes from stuff like this, only back in the day it was 'Those darn kids and their Rock'n'roll music!'

It's mostly his voice and bad singing he destroyed modern music even more but I yust ignore him so I don't really care.
'Destroying' modern music?
Judging by your tone you probably don't listen to mainstream music. What impact is Justin Bieber going to have

SHHHH! :)
Don't whine and don't try to be smart, I've heard most of it and I hated it all and I will stick to my Oi!, punk and rock from the 60's to the early 90's. Now you know and get off my back I am really tired of peapole like you complaining on different opinions beacose they are not the same as yours (specally than it comes to music.... like this time..... again), now have a good day.

you didin't hate but you started talking 'bout how I'm totally uninformed about the modern music and I felt it was going down the rode of flaming so I got pretty defencive, sorry. But I've given the modern music many chanses and know most about it but after a while I classed most of it as crap.

I don't like the modern music either :p But what I was trying to say is that Justin Bieber is DEFINITELY not going to change anything about non-mainstream music, or 60's punk for that matter :) So you shouldn't be worried about it destroying your music.. :)

You know what? I can appreciate a child star, but did you see what they announced? An auto biography is being released. His MEMOIRES are coming out. A pre-pubescent child is releaseing MEMOIRES of how he came to greatness. Know why? Cause his voice is going to shift and he'll never sing again. They're making a movie about his memoires after they're released.

He's sold out, before hitting puberty. He sings about being deep in love before he's even felt it. He sings about things he doesn't know about.
And he did it all for lots and lots of money. I'm not sure if we should point Beiber at politics or at capitalism in general.
That's pretty much what sold out means. Metal bands do shows for really sheap. They play in holes in the wall, or they accept REALLY low pay from concerts so that we don't pay as much for our tickets. They play in smaller, more conveniantly accesed venues and they play what we want. They make memoires after YEARS and YEARS of earning it.

Bieber is a pre-teen adolescent singing about what he doesn't know because it sounds good. He doens't perticularly care about his songs, but he sings what will get him money. He plays mostly in mainstream venues and his tickets are really high in price when compared to metal bands going since the 70s & 80s. he's makking memoires MAYBE 2 years after becoming a star and making a video about it FOR THE MONEY
And so long as we accept the principle that so long as there are people who have a legal product that people are willing to pay for, we have nothing to complain about! Feels good.

No, you are allowed to voice it, everyone is. The point is, you shouldnt. Misunderstandings are the basis of conflict, through conflict comes war and tada! You triggered WW3!.

Now seriously. If you are making a topic and even you are not sure what or how you want to say something, then you should think twice before posting. Then make adjustments you feel necessary and after that post it without "You may not know what I am talking about but I do!".

To your credit, the topic you chose isnt exactly earth shattering discussion.

Add.: Bieber sucks. (see? I stated my opinion of him clearly and without doubt :p )

I know^^ I acculy even think modern music (anykind) is allready destroyed but still not fun seeing it being even more destroyed, but we all know that "Beaver" won't be up for long he will get forgotten like many others like him.
