I looked back a few pages, and didn't see any threads on it. So I ask, where did you get your avatar from, and why did you choose it? And what avatar did you have before it, and for how long before you changed?

For the second question, my last avatar was a picture of Tali from Mass Effect, and I had it for over 4 years. As for this avatar...all I'll say is it is a picture of the main character from a webcomic. If anyone can figure out where it is from beyond that, you get a cookie. Oh, and I chose her (the character, as well as the artist, are female. Artist's name is Rachel Keslenskey, to give proper credit for it) because I'm a big fan of the webcomic, and thought it made for a good avatar.

Mine is Havik from Mortal Kombat, Hes one of the only characters introduced in the 3D era of MK that I like, and that particular picture is from Noob Saibot's ending in MK9, where Havik was sadly not playable

Before that It was simply a picture of my face, but theres not many folk that do that round here, so I changed it to something game related.

I drew it myself - It's me in cartoon form. It just felt kinda cool to have an avatar that was uniquely me.

Before I had the cartoon self portrait of Dutch cartoon legend Marten Toonder, which inspired me to make the avatar I have now.

When I first signed up I was looking through the default avatars and realized there wasn't one for Legend of Zelda or Mario that I really liked. So I just started randomly going through categories and I ended up at Finding Nemo. I then saw Crush and decided that that was something that definitely needed to happen.

Oh come on! There has been alot of avatar related origin like thread lately, how did you not seen those in the past pages!

To some it up- this is like my fifth avatar, I asked someone to make it for it and I choose it becuase it's unquie. Lastly I only change sometime after several months but only when I have an idea on what my new avatar could be.

I can't remember where I got mine from, I just randomly found it around one day. I love Hercules, I love Hades in that film so I just decided that it shall be my avatar from now on!

I got the initial picture from the vastness that is Google Images. I initially just cropped it and left it at that. But, a couple of days ago, I decided to touch it up a bit. She was looking too pale, and there was a red tint of which I wasn't a big fan. So I fixed those two things and gave it a small sharpen.

As for the why, well, Anette and Nightwish split up (*sniff*). I was a big fan of them with Anette, so while this is still fresh in my mind, my avatar space is dedicate to Anette, I guess.

I found a nice picture of a tarrasque. Not much more to say than that, I'm afraid. I never get to do anything interesting in "X your avatar" topics, either. Tarrasques are like Superman - incredibly boring.

When i initially signed up on the escapist i looked for any random pic to do as a profile one, if possible relating to a series that i enjoy.

At the time it i remembered a high number of anime avatars and figured whats a classic anime i enjoy? Dbz. Okies, characters i like? Bardock, ok into google search you go. That pic looks kinda badass, this should do, done.

Always meant to change it to something more meaningful but this avatar has seen good service so would not dismiss it so easily without a really good replacement.
