Yup, another superpower thread.

What kind of weird, or underused powers would you like to have? Stuff like Super-strength, flying, time travel, reality manipulation, and teleportation can GTFO. I'm looking for the neat, unusual ones.

But remember, unusual does not equal useless. I look at One Piece as an example of really neat, off-beat superpowers that are actually really, really handy. I mean, there's a guy who can separate his body into sections, another guy who eats and can turn his body into weapons, and another girl who can make hands appear out of anything. And they're all really good powers.

Me? The ability to make anyone sing and dance as long as they're listening to music. Somewhere between Cuban Pete:

...and the Music Meister:

And as weapons, I'd use these, in addition to the Cuban Pete song:

...and just for the sake of being really obvious:

I'd love to be able to make people tell embarassing secrets on demand. And I would totally abuse the hell out of it like in the video.

It's not really strange or "unusual", but I would love to have the gift of tongues. Probably without all that "man of god" stuff, but I just think it would be the most useful power out there. Never having to worry about getting lost and not understanding what's going on, it would make traveling a gajillion times easier

I just wanna say that this was the best scene in the whole movie... and would be an amazing power to choose now that I think about it. I dont have my own yet but I'll add it here when I do.. just thank you for posting that clip

The ability to quantify health into HP and be able to regenerate it with a good night's sleep or drinking whatever. This would allow me to recover from anything short of a bullet to the head. Oh, and throw in 1ups for good measure, just in case that happens. That should make life considerably safer and more fun.

Ah crap, I have to be creative now? Darn, I was gonna just go with superman powers XD

Oh well, I'd either go with Crocodile's sand ability from one piece (because its the coolest), or Shout a la Skyrim.

Just the shouts mind you. I think that would be an awesome power, especially if you DIDN'T have all the other fallbacks that the dragonborn has. You know, the swords and magic and sneakery. Let's not even talk about saves and checkpoints XD

Is teletemporation too close to teleportation?

It's the ability to send your consciousness backwards or forward in time to points you've already experienced. So...teleportation plus reality manipulation?

Fuck it. Can I have lego-kinesis?

I'll go with mind-manipulation (which what I'd choose even without the limitation of being unusual). I'd basically be a cross between the Scarecrow and Freddy Krueger, except it's an actual power (not a drug used on my enemies) and I actually exist outside of peoples' minds (so I still have an actual body, rather than being a ghost who exists solely in peoples' dreams). I know mind-manipulation refers to a much broader set of powers than that, but those just seem like the coolest ones to me.

Prescence from V:tM (another thread has me thinking about the old line). Basically, you don't mind control anyone or override their free will. It's like a supernatural charisma; you exude a certain something that makes others listen to you more closely and weight your words more heavily. The one dot version would be adequate. The second tier power, dread gaze, might be useful, but I'm not really in situations where it would be useful, and I am in situations where it would probably backfire to over intimidate people whenever I start getting frustrated (can't hold a job if you keep scaring the customers away). The next three raise the question about whether or not I've overwrote people's free-will; preternatural charisma is fine, since people can still think I'm wrong, just an entertaining, fascinating wrong. Entrancement and majesty make that almost impossible except the most willful, and summon is just creepy.

The ability to talk to ants.

I'd be able to communicate with them, but I wouldn't be able to control their will. So no one would ever believe me.

I'd like to be able to get the same restorative effects of sleeping without having to actually sleep. I'd love to have all that extra time if I didn't have to sleep, and it seems like it'd be useful.

That's easy. I write to make reality happen the way I want it to. Ever seen Delirious with John Candy? A bit like that.

I had a super-powers dream recently with a pretty non-standard power.

Essentially I manipulate objects' energy-based properties to a limited extent, but the catch is I have to make direct contact with whatever I want to manipulate, and the initial effect only lasts so long as I'm in contact (after effects however will apply afterward, see first example). Once in contact with it, I can fuck around with its physics;

Force Push-style fling someone through the air

Propel myself off the ground with great force

make my shoes friction-less

make my hands have a ridiculously high friction ratio (think spiderman)

paralyze someone

reverse an object's gravity

Make an object translucent (good for blinding people)

Cause an object to accelerate

The ability to make me people feel bad.

I want a sure-fire way to shut someone down, for example imagine if someone is yelling at you and you pull the whole disability card i want to be able to do that but with just a flick of my fingers or Jedi mind-trick style.

Why? Because i recently discovered i have a learning disability and i would like a plan b if guilt tripping someone with it fails or in other words, i need to amplify my powers.

In order of importance:

-power to be healthy and trim no what I eat/drink
-power to pick up a language after hearing a few spoken words or at least Thor's All-Speak, though All-Speak wouldn't help me with reading or writing in a language
-power of fashion 'cuz who doesn't wanna look awesome, at least in public
-power to accurately predict the stock market so I could get rich quick
-the ability to not get air/sea/car sick 'cuz I suffer from all 3

I like the way you think, not so much I want the extra time but more I already have a shit time sleeping. I could at least feel refreshed not like shit all the time.

OT: The ability to turn tattoos of nonliving things real. A tattoo of a knife/gun could be drawn and used then returned to the body. I would never be unarmed.

Also, I'd like to be able to use the 7 bells of the dead and rune casting like in the Abhoursen series.

Not much, just expert fighting abilities, pinpoint firearm and throwing accuracy, force-like telekinesis, and expert pastry making skills.

Right now I'd like the passive skill "Arms Master" which halves my HP cost for physical attacks. In practise, it means I just get way more endurance to get myself through the day, I've been feeling really tired lately.

Another idea is a very quirky Berserk Button to initiate a Charles Atlas Superpower, like I go full rage mode whenever I hear that fucking song on the radio again and I'll start throwing around with sveral types of vending machines as a result.
