Strange bizzare scary music video?

Spoiler: not entirely SFW (i.e. some scenes make anything by Marilyn Manson look like children's programming in comparison)

Some of the effects a bit cheesy, but it's creepy as all hell nonetheless. Also, I heard somewhere that the song is about abortion, but I've never actually looked up a translation myself.

I don't have any insight as to WHY, but I agree that EDM (and Synthpop/Synthpunk) acts go ahead with making some weird ass, scary music videos, so I've observed:

I'd hazard a guess that most electronic acts that actually get "big 3" (and subsidiary) record label status tend to exist at an intersection where they're permitted greater license to spend money on more elaborate music videos that are designed as attention grabbers to shock a larger demographic into listening. Incidentally, since generally they're pretty minimal on lyrics, if a band feels like being political or adopting a perticular edge, they can get that across in video narrative where instrumental tracks don't carry that meaning.
