Strange Character Designs

I was browsing for gamecube games as part of a retro game hunt when I came across a game I heard about before in my youth. This game was called Ty the Tasmanian Tiger and boy did the main character of the game have a strange design. Well okay the only thing strange about Ty was....well...look for yourself..

Okay so it may not look like much but when I saw a gameplay video of the game itself...


it dawned on me...THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIS MOUTH!! I mean that mouth looks pretty weird and I was just questioning the design of Ty for the whole video. So Escapists, what character design seems strange to you?

It is really fun? I would like to play that game someday. I know I'm making fun of the design, but the game does look like fun though!

Does wardrobe count? I get an aneurysm whenever I stare too long at the Kingdom Hearts wardrobe. All those little chains and zippers and partitioned clothes... everybody looks like they were dipped into a sticky landfill and fed through a shredder next.

That odd sniper woman from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid.

If I've grasped the setting correctly, it's taking place in a desert. And she is a white woman in nothing but a bikini and a battle harness. I thought she had trousers, but they turned out to be a pair of stockings.

I do hope she's got plenty of sun screen if that is her choice of attire for sniping in a flippin' desert...

World of Warcraft Orcs tend to look more and more ridiculous as they advance in power, too.

His neck seems to have entirely fused with his shoulders. Shoulders that have now grown to be the main centre of body mass, while his torso and legs have shriveled into little stumps (in comparison) hidden somewhere beneath spiky armour there is no indication he ever takes off.

His tusks have grown to the size of two bananas, no doubt causing him terrible difficulties feeding himself. Much thicker, and they will interfere with his respiration.

Had he not been defeated in combat, it'd had been as simple a matter as to simply wait until his horribly deformed body slowly collapsed into itself, half a ton of muscle and armour crushing the few internal organs that haven't waned into nothingness.

Perhaps it is an effect of Orcish evolution, ensuring that they never have one strong leader for long until the biological effect of his office crushes him, and a pretender can take his place, keeping the warmongering species from stagnation through united leadership.

Right. So the weird thing about Kerrigan is that she is an infested Human, however despite this, she became the Queen of Blades and ended up leading the Zerg hordes. Going back to the whole infested thing, she doesn't look to bad for herself, with the carapace armour-skin, and the spiny hair, and the bone wings (which look useless, they're not, she can fly), at least when compared to another Infested specimen.

See? Goo, gunk, tentacles and spikes everywhere. Why did Kerrigan get so lucky in the mutation side of things? Oh, and apparently the Zerg wanted Kerrigan to be fashion sensitive, this is why they decided to give her Zerg-heels... because reasons.

I remember that game. It'd be nostalgic if not for the fact I made it 20 minutes in.

But I don't think his design is that strange. I mean, not compared to...

Kerrigan is more than infested, as was explained in the most recent installment. Infestation is generally a zerg biomass taking over the host for control, Kerrigan was more of a merger.

Mara was one of my first thoughts (although I do prefer the chariot riding version). There's also a Diana who is a woman covered in boobs, Arioch who's some kind of vagina monster and Mishaguji, another phallus head. Not sure if posting images of them here is kosher, but definitely look them up.

The Amazon from Dragon's Crown springs to mind, her weird lumpy ass and legs are supposed to be muscular but it looks more like she has an infection or something.

I think her "jig" is sort of a photosynthesis kind of thing, where she has sort of a natural "camouflage".
What I'm trying to say here, I think she can become like a chameleon in sunlight(I know chameleons don't actually do that), so she would want a minimal amount of clothes so more parts of her can be camouflaged, which would explain the skimpy attire.
This is just guessing though, but there are stranger people in the Metal Gear universe.
