(I searched, couldn't find something similar)

Okay, everyone's afraid of something. Some fears are weirder than others. What strange fear of something do you have?

I personally have a fear of stairs. For some reason, I don't like to stand too close to stairs unless I need to use them. If I'm walking past a flight of stairs, I have to walk a bit farther away from them for fear of falling sideways, if i'm walking down and there's a flight of stairs above me I'm worried it'll colapse, if I have to walk up stairs I'll lean forward as much as I can for fear of tripping backwards.

So, do any of you have a fear as weird as this? Or am I all alone in this lonely ocean?

PS: Try to find the wording for your fear, it's fun!

Bathmophobia- Fear of stairs or steep slopes

Climacophobia- Fear of stairs, climbing, or of falling downstairs

Ticks. Me and my cousin went out into the woods to do some filming. When I came back, we found ticks all over our body, I found one in the most terrible place as well. I flip out every time I see a tick.

Windows at night. I refuse to walk by one anymore. A few weeks ago I had mistaken a sticker on my door for a person's head. Freaked me out, compounded that fear that I've had since I was a child.

Pointed and bladed objects, large crowds and ladybirds.

Those are the only things I fear...okay, maybe I'm being a little narrow by saying 'only'.

I guess I have a fear of stairs too, I fell down the ones at my Grandad's house while sleep-walking and broke my nose. But also bugs like Spiders, Wasps, Bees and Daddy long legs, yuck they freak me out.
And also Silent Hill, But that's a given.

The fear of going downstairs at night. Not darkness, just going there at night.I've watched too many horrors and I always think somebody is going to sneak up on me.So I usually quickly dash to the nearest switch and eventually light up my entire house.

That and the "normal" stuff like Spiders and "unsecured heights" -> not afraid of Rollercoasters etc. but shit scared of stuff like ladders and climbing trees.

hydrophobia - fear of water, not so much afraid of any water but like pools and the sea i start getting twitchy. can handle it though
as a kid i was afraid of a mickey mouse stuffed animal since its eyes had that optical illusion where it seems that it is watching your movements

I am fearful of becoming a failure in my moms eyes. Screw everyone else in family, thay can all burn in hell for all I care, but I am terrified of dissapointing my mom. I also fear that one day my rage and hatred will get the better of me, and I'll end up really hurting/killing someone. I almost crippled someone once, which is why it, for me, is a real fear.

When I was younger, I was afraid of going asleep because I compared it to how it is when you don't exist yet, which is indescribable, but I thought I might stay that way or something. I used to have a fear of small places because I thought I would use up any oxygen I had when put in one, but then my brother stuck me in a box and sat on top for a while.

Heights. But only if I can't hold on to something. If you stick me in a rollercoaster and fling me around the sky for a while, I'd be fine. If you put me on top of a three-foot box, I begin imagining the ways I can fall and crack my headbone open.

My big one, though, is brain damage. Death and pain, I can deal with. I would rather be slow-roasted until I die than lobotomized. Any action or ailment that could kill my mind delivers serious willies. It actually kept me from attempting suicide when I was younger. I'd not want to fuck up and end up mentally maimed.

I have a fear of heights. Big deal, lots of people do. But mine kicks in when I am playing games with platforming. But it's not even a graphical thing, I used to get apprehensive while playing Mario. I don't know how I am going to fare with Mirrors Edge!
