.. I feel bad killing certain creatures in WoW. The one's with a 'yellow name'. I always think 'What did they ever do to me?! Why do I have to kill 30 of them?!'.

I swear, someone should make a game where the only weapon that can kill the last boss is found 30 seconds in, and you have to carry it through the whole game. At least then it would reward our kleptomania.
Wow, that would be a great idea. However, I usually do use it somewhere down the line when I think to myself 'well, I'm not gonna find any bigger guys than these, I guess.' unless they keep increasing in difficulty slowly.

USING TOILETS.
It all started back in '95, i had 3 health in duke nukem 3D and I approached a urinal. Wham, instant 25 health.

Now everygame has a toilet, bioshock, fallout 3, you name it.
The Journeyman Project Turbo... :D

wait... that was made in '92 and the turbo version came out in '94...

so...

that doesn't mean anything. since i'd take health giving toilets over static pre-rendered images of ones.

For instance, when I play an RPG, I can sometimes spend hours in character creation, especially thinking up the perfect name. Sometimes I'll delete a character I've spent hours, even days playing, because I suddenly decided he had the wrong shade of moustache or his name was missing an e at the end or something. I will then create the almost identical twin of that character with the small flaw fixed and start all over again.
^ This. I very much also do this.

EDIT: In RTS games (or any game with a map) I have to reveal all of the 'fog of war' or explore everywhere. This probably adds hours to my playing time.

QFT lol i have this problem too and more often than not, i never end up using whatever it is until i'm on my deathbed....

Other quirky gaming traits are with RPGs i HAVE to do a speed run the first time through without any walkthrough assistance then on the replay i abuse GAMEFAQs and the official guides to make sure my character is ridiculously overpowered and there is no sidequest not done before i complete it, there was only one exception which was FFX because i felt for the man hours i put into playing it i cant be bothered to go through again lol

Also with Beat em ups i have to go to practice mode for ages with a character before i take on Arcade/Story mode...

I get carried away so much I -always- pretend to be my character (down to pretending I'm getting injured with them and getting "combat high" with them).

I seriously have the 'Save it for when I really, really need it" thing. Which usually right at the end. Thankfully I've started to overcome in Fallout 3 thanks to Super Mutant Behemoths and large groups of people.

I also tend to carry around a ton of weapons I like to use. For some reason it feels wrong if I go out without my Fatman, Dart Gun, Shiskabob, Missile Launcher, Xuanlong Assault Rifle, The Terrible Shotgun, Alien Blaster, Flamer, A3-21's Plasma Rifle, Plasma Pistol, Smuggler's End, Col. Autumn's Laser Pistol, Protectron's Gaze, Outcast Power Armor, Roving Trader's Outfit & Hat, Lucky Shades, Ranger Combat Armor, and a dozen Ice Cold Nuka Colas.
Wow that's quite a haul to be lugging around!

I know that feeling of wanting to hold on to stuff because you think you might need it... 120 hours into Fallout 3 and I'm still lugging around the MIRV FatMan in case i ever need it in an emergency, even though all the behemoths are dead not one enemy in the game is even a danger any more due to full small guns skill and special weapons being totally overpowered.

For awhile I would compulsively crack open every crate and barrel I found, until the modern trend in video games where either they don't break or they don't contain anything useful.

Also, I tend to conserve my powerful assets far to regularly in games. I can NEVER bring myself to use the magic arrows in oblivion because I might need them later. That said, when I beat Mercenaries 2, I expended all of my hard earned cash buying more nuclear weapons and then used them liberally. As in, to remove a checkpoint consisting of three enemy soldiers and a single jeep.

Have you guys flushed the toilets or turned on the sinks in the bathrooms?
Always. Bully is the only game I've encountered that actually has a character animation for taking a piss....
