huh really?..didnt expect that one
It still means Master of Ceremonies. The position was originally them fella's that would announce people at parties; "Lord & Lady Huffington of Huffy Hall", that sort of thing, and grew to being a general facilitator of pomp.

Nowadays it's more "Whatcha do when you spunk on a deck!? Y'knooooow." It's still the same basic thing though.

well i wouldn't say i have any weird hobbies, but rather a weird combination of hobbies.
I train and lift weights, and use the various martial arts ive learnt over the years as cardio. Then i also play video games, paint warhammer figures ( and play the occasional game ). I also am working on getting a WoW P+PRPG game going.
I also write fiction.

Well I started doing archery, and while I wouldn't call it strange it's apparently not very wide-spread either. People don't expect it anyway.

Skulls. All kinds of skulls
This of course raises the obvious question; got a human one yet?

I don't really have anything strange... Guns are normal where I am, and appear to be somewhat normal in this thread. Otherwise, cars, gaming, drawing and (ASIO, go away please) explosives.

But only for the merit of this topic.

An MC is traditionally a role within Hip Hop, there has been a separation from Hip Hop called Rap, this is where the music only uses one of the 5 elements of Hip Hop MCing also known as Rapping, which is where the genre Rap comes from.
This is why you see a more positive reaction to the term MC, it validates the "Rapper" as part of the Hip Hop community.

Hip Hop's 5 elements are MCing, DJing, BBoying, Graffiti and Knowledge.

I assume you know most of the elements, but incase you didn't know BBoying stands for Break Boys, this came from dancing to a DJ playing Breaks (instrumental 8/16 bar in a record which mainly focuses on drums) back to back using vinyls and a crossfader.

Hip Hop history done for today, thanks for reading

Seriously? I don't think I know anyone who would bat an eye at the mention of a weekend-long Skyrim marathon. That includes family members and people who have never played video games in their lives... Who do you hang out with?!
This genuinely surprises me. My family don't think it's strange but my friends all find it extremely sad. And there's no dissuading them: I've attempted logical discussion, pleading, cold hard facts about its popularity but they still think I'm an irretrievable nerd. They are mostly women, which may have something to do with it I suppose (once, when trying to explain why I was looking forward to Mass Effect 3 so much and mentioned that it was the end to this epic story, my friend replied 'don't make me laugh, games don't have stories!'). Hence the reason I roam the escapist forums cloaked in self-pity attempting to validate my existence! Ha!

As do I!
But we do training weekends and shit, full period living, god I hate bullied beefs.
Yeah, what we tend to do is more "Living History" than re-enactment; we only "battle" at one event in the year, and that is more a demonstration of tactics then a full on blatfest.

I created a 1500 slide comic/powerpoint thing that combines comendy, sci-fi, fantasy and action. I am dead serious and am working on a sequel.

I just come up with random ideas

Sometimes I decided to flesh out those ideas into full fledged thoughts, and other times I just think of them and then leave them to rot in my mind(I have actually made up an entire kingdom of the mind, structured like Dantes Divine Comedy). Then there are the ideas that I decide to draw out, some coinciding with something that I wrote down, some are just spur of the moment type things. Yeah, just me and my random thoughts here.

Wait, it has to be strange... oh, okay. Staying on what I put above, there is an exception to that which I make, and that exception is people. I just don't know what it is about people, I have made some of the strangest locations/ vehicles/ animals/ things I can imagine, but when it comes to people creations it all just breaks down. No matter how hard i try it is always people, for some unbeknownst reason, that always seem to trip me up.

I personally don't find it strange but I develop my own tabletop RPGs that I play online with friends on occasion. I only have 3 but I've been working on them for about 7 years and they've gone over very well with the people who've played them.

One day I hope to learn how to carve small statues out of wood to decorate with or use as pieces for tabletop games.

I draw porn.

I'm sure I have other hobbies that would be considered strange in some way, but yeah... that is probably most likely without a doubt the strangest one.

I play a tabletop war game called Warmachine/ Hordes. I play an undead army called Cryx.

I also love those really bad Euro trash horror films from the 1970's. Dario Argento and Jess Franco are two of my favourite. Thing is I like what most people see as bad film making in a non ironic way. I just love them.

Not sure how "strange" some would consider it, but I collect Transformers.

I've got a fairly modest horde going on here, but I try to avoid going for the SUPER expense stuff. That being said, you know what my most expense bot is? It's not my Unicron toy. It's not my Optimus Primal/Megatron japanese 10th anniversary two-pack. It isn't even my $100 movie Devastator. Nope, it's this guy:

Ravage, as he appeared in the Beast Wars show. Cost me $140 bucks. He's a rare/popular one.[/spoiler]

But besides cool bots, I also go for really weird, unique bots, too. I SO want this guy:

Yes, that is a transforming Tanuki. With a working clock in his chest. And a bottle of sake. And giant robo-balls. I want him in the WORST way.

I write books in my head and never get around to writing them down in anyway what so ever, everything I build in minecraft has to be even and square and whenever possible I try to move in as straight a line as possible.
Do they count?

My strange hobby is apparently target shooting. I always get dirty looks when people ask me what I did this weekend and the answer is shoot but god damn it I love to shoot.
How do you shoot, i shoot skeet mostly, though i am not used to my new R870 gun so i suck

Plinking with my unique 10/22 is also fun, i like wasting ammo just shooting at sand and watching the impacts like tiny asteroids

Usually just target shooting or trying to out do my brother or father by shooting smaller and smaller pieces of wood. If we're really trying to show off we'll take turns shooting at spent shotgun shells at 25 or 50 yards with pistols or further with a scoped rifle.
